Team and Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Software Development Engineer with strong expertise in Java development to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining robust online interfaces, batch processing systems, and web portals that support critical business operations.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software engineering best practices, including test automation, secure coding, and open-source vulnerability management. You will be expected to deliver software and work independently with cross-functional team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java Spring Framework, including RESTful APIs, batch jobs, and web-based user interfaces.
- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure high-quality code and continuous integration.
- Optimize application performance and scalability across various modules.
- Ensure secure development practices, including identification and remediation of open-source vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team and division to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis
- Proactive collaboration to lead identify and escalating impediments or risks that require attention to keep the project on track.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Java Spring, message exchange (JSON, Solace message bus) development in online processing, batch and web portals with production support experiences.
Skills and Knowledge
- Good understanding of open-source libraries, their usage and vulnerability management.
- Strong experience with test automation tools such as Junit other automation test tools, including if any self-development tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Octopus, Bitbucket and other CI/CD tools.
- Experience integration with external tools like ELK would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and strong analytical and engineering skills to synthesize information and present status clearly and effectively.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to make decisions and drive execution with minimal supervision.
