About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Preparation of month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage fixed asset reporting and compliance.
- Work closely with Services team to ensure accurate cost and revenue recognition.
- Prepare monthly flash reports and management reports for group consolidation, including commentary.
- Reviewing of bank reconciliations and weekly cash reports.
- Supervise day-to-day accounting activities including vendor payments and ad hoc payments runs.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports, general and subsidiary ledgers.
- Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare annual internal and external audits and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with audit and tax return preparation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision and direction to Finance team members (AP, AR).
- Any other ad hoc tasks as requested by the reporting officer.
2. Business Partnering
- Engage with business units to analyse financial performance against targets, identify risks and opportunities and support forecasting.
- Support department managers in budgeting and interpreting monthly financial results.
- Lead reviews of project performance, contracts, rates and effort calculations to provide strategic insights.
- Ensure accurate data flow between sales and finance systems.
- Analyse project and client profitability and establish procurement guidelines to optimise costs.
About you
To be successful you will need to bring along:
- Degree in Accounting; CA, ACCA or CPA is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Finance Business Partner or a similar finance function (Management Accountant, Financial Analyst or equivalent), preferably within the IT or services industry. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Experience with large ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with internal teams and external clients.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Curious, not afraid to ask questions. Confidence to take responsibility, anticipate problems and take a proactive approach.
