What The Role Is
You manage our Defence Relations (DR) with countries under your purview.
What You Will Be Working On
- Plan and execute engagement activities
- Provide timely DR updates for visits and multilateral events
- Prepare key briefings for stakeholders
- Perform secretariat functions
Challenge(s)
- Strategising timely responses to dynamic defence and security situations
- Recommending appropriate positions in ever-changing environments
What We Are Looking For
- Education in Political Science, History, International Relations or a related field
- Conscientiousness and initiative
- Diplomatic inclination
- Strong teamwork abilities
- Competent knowledge of current affairs and international geopolitics
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Excellent organisational and time organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in vernacular languages is advantageous
