We are an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holder operating under ASIC regulation.
The Role
We are looking for a sharp, commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our team. Reporting to the COO, you will be the primary in-house legal resource supporting our investment operations, fund structuring, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on role working closely with operations, deals, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate fund documents including Trust Deeds, Manager Agreements, Subscription Agreements, and SPV documentation
- Advise on AFSL obligations and ASIC regulatory requirements
- Support KYC/KYB and AML/CTF compliance frameworks
- Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and counterparty legal teams
- Provide legal guidance on deal structuring, investor agreements, and secondary transactions
- Maintain and improve standard document templates and legal processes
What We're Looking For
- Qualified lawyer with 4–8 years of experience (law firm and/or in-house)
- Experience in funds management, financial services, or capital markets law
- Practical experience with SPV or managed fund structuring is a strong advantage
- Ability to work at pace and balance legal rigour with commercial pragmatism
- Self-starter who can operate independently in a lean, remote team
