Job Description

Design &Drafting
Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for aluminium and stainless-steel works.
Develop 2D/3D models using AutoCAD or similar design software.
Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
Technical Detailing
Produce accurate profiles, sections, and connection details suited for fabrication and site installation.
Evaluate material thickness, cutting dimensions, welding details, fixing methods, and tolerances.
Provide technical advice to ensure feasible and cost-effective design solutions.
Coordination
Coordinate with project teams, architects, consultants, and contractors to clarify design intent.
Attend design meetings, site meetings, and resolve technical issues when required.
Update drawings based on feedback, site conditions, and revisions.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure design accuracy to minimise fabrication errors and rework.
Verify material specifications for aluminium and stainless steel
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety guidelines, and fabrication standards.
Project Support
Prepare cutting lists, bill of materials (BOM), and technical documentation.
Assist in project planning and installation sequencing.
Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.

Requirements

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Technology, Industrial Design, or related field.
Relevant experience in metal work design, façade design, or fabrication drawings preferred.

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, or similar software is an advantage.
Strong understanding of aluminium profiles, stainless-steel fabrication, and metal joinery.
Ability to read architectural, structural, and M&E drawings.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and coordination skills.

Experience

Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience (can adjust depending on seniority).
Experience working with contractors, fabricators, or façade/metalwork companies is an advantage.
