Job Summary
We are looking for motivated, self-driven candidates to join a dynamic and highly collaborative team of scientists and engineers at A*STAR ISCE2, based on Jurong Island. The successful candidate will contribute to research and development work in catalysis for carbon conversion.
The Key Scope Of Work Includes
- Contribute to the ideation and development of new catalytic materials for the conversion of small molecules to valuable chemicals and fuels, including CO2/CO, CH4, N2 etc conversion.
- Prepare and characterize catalysts and participate in data analysis and interpretation.
- Run catalyst reactions in various type of reactors for thermal catalysis (major), electrocatalysis, and plasma catalysis.
- Document and maintain accurate test records and reports, prepare documents for technology disclosure, patent filing, and research publications.
- Ensure adherence to departmental policies, safety guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and team members.
Requirements
- A strong background in chemistry, chemical engineering, and/or material science, preferably with Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials, or Physics.
- Knowledge and/or experience in analytical methods, chemical and materials characterization, such as XRD, UV-Vis, NMR, FTIR.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of simulation softwares such as ASPEN.
- Independent, diligent, professional, and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
