What The Role Is
You are responsible for managing lower-risk support services contracts and overseeing the performance of contractors under your purview. You perform the full spectrum of contract management functions, including measuring and accepting contract performance, and engaging key stakeholders across the contract management chain.
What You Will Be Working On
- Design contracts by translating outsourcing requirements and scope of work into robust contractual obligations, in support of capability owners
- Set in place contract utility and control processes with contract users to ensure seamless transition from contract setup to execution, and guide them on contract boundaries and compliance obligations
- Manage overall contract performance and conduct acceptance for collective measures of contractor performance
- Assess the performance, readiness, and reliability of contractors, and conduct regular meetings with contractors and contract users to resolve contractual and support issues
- Perform periodic contract reviews and prepare contract review reports and management reports for submission to the relevant contracting forums
- Identify inadequacies in contracts and processes and devise solutions to seek approval for contract variations
- Support in system reviews, contract renewals, and contract cessation and ensure proper contract closure
- Support in compliance surveillance on contract usage and data analytics on usage patterns
- Identify and propose optimal contracting approaches, including contract amalgamation where synergies exist
- Provide guidance and share lessons learnt with contract management stakeholders for knowledge management purposes
Challenge(s) - Coordinating across multiple stakeholders including capability owners, contract users, contractors, and procurement to achieve the desired outcomes of readiness, performance, and compliance
- Proposing the best-fit contract design and management approach
- Navigating the vast and diverse range of supporting requirements with varied contracting approach and requiring a strong effort to understand the peculiarities of each contract in order to provide effective support
What We Are Looking For
- At least 5 years of working experience in logistics or supply-related functions is preferred
- Experience in contract management is preferred
- Resilient and persistent in achieving outcomes
- Proactive and open-minded approach to problem-solving
- Good time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
