EIGHT CAPITAL ADVISORS is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Associate to support the management of investment portfolios within our family office. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a keen understanding of financial markets, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
- Support the construction, monitoring, and optimization of investment portfolios to meet client objectives.
- Assist in developing, executing, and reviewing investment strategies aligned with market conditions and risk tolerance.
- Evaluate portfolio performance and recommend adjustments to enhance returns and manage risks.
Investment Research & Analysis
- Conduct financial modeling and company valuation to inform investment decisions.
- Analyze market trends, economic developments, and investment opportunities across asset classes.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive investment reports, presentations, and performance reviews for management and clients.
Operations & Compliance
- Provide middle-office support including managing investment documentation and processing transactions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to safeguard investments.
- Maintain accurate records and support operational efficiency across all investment activities.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor financial markets and deliver timely market updates to inform investment decisions.
- Identify emerging investment opportunities and potential risks to support proactive portfolio management.
- Conduct competitor and industry analysis to aid strategic decision-making.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience in investment management, private banking, wealth management, family offices, or related financial services.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
