Leadership can be a real mixed bag here

My time at DKSH was okay overall, but the leadership structure definitely made it tough sometimes, especially in a big corporate environment.

Pros

I did get to work on some pretty interesting market expansion services projects as a Supply Chain Analyst. Some of the immediate team leads in the Singapore office were actually supportive and knowledgeable, which was good.

Cons

Upper management often seemed disconnected from our teams, especially for us working in distribution logistics. Decisions felt super slow across this multinational company, and there wasn't much transparency, making leadership tough to trust sometimes.

Advice to Management

Try to bridge the gap between upper management and the operational teams. More regular check-ins and clearer communication about strategic direction would really help people on the ground.

DKSH job security: Solid, but stay adaptable
Pros: If you perform well, especially in the core market expansion services industry, your job is generally safe. As a Sales Coordinator in the Bangkok office, I felt pretty secure if my numbers were good. It's a large, corporate environment with stable business.
Cons: There's a lot of internal restructuring, sometimes yearly, which can make things feel a bit shaky. You might find your department or role shifts unexpectedly, even if you're a strong performer. This definitely impacts long-term career planning here.
Advice to Management: Try to provide more consistent communication about upcoming changes and make an effort to minimize yearly reorganizations. It creates unnecessary stress and uncertainty among employees.

Pay's okay, benefits need a boost
Pros: Working as a Sales Representative here, the base pay for the consumer goods sector is okay. You get a sales commission, which can really help your earnings. The health insurance package is decent, covers the basics for the Singapore office.
Cons: Annual bonuses aren't guaranteed, and they feel pretty small. It's tough to negotiate your starting salary, honestly. Retirement benefits don't really stand out compared to other global corporate companies.
Advice to Management: Management should really review the overall compensation packages, especially the annual bonus structure and retirement plans. Making them more competitive would help retain talent in the market expansion services industry.

Decent benefits, but pay could be higher
Pros: The benefits package for us, especially in Zurich, is pretty solid. Things like health insurance and pension plans are competitive for a large corporate company here. They do offer good perks sometimes.
Cons: Honestly, the base salary for a Supply Chain Analyst isn't amazing compared to other roles in the Switzerland market. Raises feel pretty modest, and there's not much room to negotiate.
Advice to Management: Review salary bands for key operational roles like supply chain analysts to stay competitive in the Swiss market. Better transparency around annual increases would help too.
