Responsibilities:

1.       Preparing full set of accounts, including reporting of financial numbers to PAH Group

Details of the Division and Team:

Drive and support the origination, development, due diligence, approval, and monitoring of project finance transactions in energy, renewables, and energy related infrastructure sectors. The Corporate Bank growth strategy includes expanding the existing business into Project Finance to our diverse Corporate Bank’s client base. Key focus will include sustainable projects in utility-scale solar, wind, batteries, and transmission networks, with future expansion into other asset classes. Your key responsibilities:

• Drive/support the origination of a pipeline of renewable/infrastructure project finance deals

• Structure transactions involving a variety of financial instruments

• Review cash flow models for the purposes of deal analysis and forecasting, as well as constructing comparable for each particular transaction and guiding junior members of the team

• Undertake and manage the necessary due diligence, financial modeling, risk analysis and mitigation in the structuring of loans and taking the deal through the Credit Risk process. The successful candidate will be required to support the Head of Project Finance APAC and lead a deal team of junior members providing leadership, project management and strong commercial and credit analytical skills.

• Lead the internal approvals process including interface with credit, group sustainability/ESG, legal and other teams.

• With the support of internal and external counsels, ensure for all deals that appropriate legal documentation is successfully concluded in line with approvals and that financial close is achieved in a timely and compliant fashion.

• Monitor deals throughout deal lifetime

• Monitor technical market trends and performance of industry participants (for example, deal flow and corporate events).

• Develop marketing materials and presentations used to solicit new transactions.  Work with the team to come up with novel ideas and solutions for capital funding requirements.

Your skills and experience:

• At least 6 years of relevant Project Finance experience (particularly in renewables or infrastructure) on debt financing

• Hands-on experience in originating loans, managing due diligence, financial modeling, identifying and mitigating credit risks

• Strong negotiation skills required on  term sheets and finance documentation, and preparing credit paper.

• Superior analytical aptitude required

• Excellent organization / prioritization skills

• Self-motivated and strong team player, with an inclusive nature.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively to management.

• BA, MBA or a degree in economics or law obtained at a top tier university

• Experience in Asia Pacific markets is essential

Underwriting

• Provide support to Transactor which includes credit underwriting, end-to-end transaction processing and post-transaction portfolio management for Insurance Premium Financing facilities.

  • Compilation of information and performing of credit analysis

  • Liaise with the insurance team, banker and Legal counsel for deal details, client financial statement , loan documentation and deal closing
  • Work closely with Credit Data Management team to complete systemic set up of the credit facilities

Your key responsibilities:

• Construct strategic dialogues with senior clients from large multinational companies to originate new opportunities and structure solutions in coordination with product partners across the corporate bank product suite.  

• Close coordination with global and local country relationship bankers to ensure integrated and seamless coverage for our clients.

• Build new relationships and deepen existing relationships across the client portfolio demonstrated via new deal wins and increasing our revenue share of wallet with clients.

• Advise clients, provide insights into the latest macroeconomic, geopolitical issue and regulatory trends in Asia impacting our clients and the industry they operate in.

• Keep abreast of developments in the client business and the industry ecosystem, and manage risks within the portfolio 

Your skills and experience:

• 3 years+ of banking experience - managing MNC corporate client relationships in a relationship management or product sales function in a global financial institution

• 2-3 years+ experience in managing relationships with senior client contacts and a track record in being able to understand the strategic priorities of our clients and support the execution of complex deals.  

• 2-3 years+ experience in credit risk management and obtaining credit approvals for transactions.

• Broad understanding of the corporate business environment, regulatory and market trends across Asia

• Strong Microsoft office skills ( PowerPoint, word, excel) with ability to prepare impactful presentations for clients

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement applies.

About the role

What you need to know:

As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. As a key member of the Country HR team, the role is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of innovative Global, Regional and Local HR strategies and solutions that support the country strategic business agenda , and broader human capital plan for AIG’s General Insurance business unit. The role will support the continued evolution of a country HR service delivery model that delivers value-add, and drives operational modernization and efficiency efforts.

• Partnering with designated business/functional stakeholders to identify and deliver HR solutions that build competitive advantage, enhance organization performance and realize the business’ strategies
• Provide advisory, coaching and execution support for business change
• Support the delivery of key cyclical HR activities and processes at a country level (e.g. performance management, talent reviews, succession planning etc.) and ad hoc HR projects as required
• Working in collaboration with HR colleagues including Centers Of Expertise (COEs), Regional and Global HR Leads, and HR Shared Services to deliver integrated HR support and solutions to clients, and to ensure alignment with Global HR strategy, tools and processes
• Proactively identify, manage and mitigate people risk
• Partner with management and COE on culture, organizational design, diversity, employee engagement, and compensation and performance management for the responsible business units

• Mitigate employment risk by ensuring the responsible business units conform to all relevant statutory and employment law requirements.

What we are looking for

• Strong experience in a HR Generalist/Business Partner/HR Management role (Insurance and/or Financial Services industry experience preferred)
• Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
• Broad generalist HR experience across multiple HR practice areas including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, compensation & benefits, performance management and employee relations
• Strong operational generalist experience, with in-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures and risks
• Sound business acumen and thorough understanding of business fundamentals
• Experience working for a multinational organization and within a matrixed environment

 Marketing Debt securities to institutional investors

 Coordinating roadshows and make other material arrangements

 Assisting in arranging settlement of bonds to investors;

What would a day in your life @NIUM look like?

As a Director - Banking Partnerships @NIUM, among others, a typical roster of responsibilities would include:

• Devise NIUM’s APAC partnership framework and lead, develop, own, and implement a partnership strategy across all LAC countries that aligns with, and supports, NIUM’s overall business vision with a focus on Pay Out / Pay In / Alternate Payments / Travel / Crypto product suite
• Identify the most appropriate way to launch NIUM suite of products in a new market. In some cases, you will work directly with the product team to do so; other times you will work with the respective regional coverage teams.
• Typically, in this role, you will work with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, BD, and Engineering teams to locate, develop and manage payments partnerships to ensure a successful roll out of payment solutions across APAC.
• Keep abreast with market changes, acquire deep understanding of customer needs and bank / PSP partner’s requirements, and continuously propose and execute innovative solutions which differentiate NIUM offerings
• Act as the Payment consultant, ideally with a deep understanding across multiple payment methods and solution.
• You will own management of these partnerships, and advocate on behalf of NIUM to engage business and industry leaders to drive improvement in the payment supply chain to ensure NIUM’s products have the best customer payments experiences and set new global standards in scalability and efficiency

• The ideal candidate would have around 8-10 years of experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in engaging directly with banks for payouts and payins. This experience would be ideally with a leading local fintech firm, but someone coming from a bank would also be considered favourably.
• Deep transaction banking knowledge and expertise with a demonstrated experience in understanding and clearly articulating potentially complex payment flows in detail to bank partners and on industry forums in general.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of the current state of regulatory affairs, industry standards, players in the payments industry – including, but not limited to – banking licenses, digital currency licenses, trust licenses, money transmitter licenses, payment licenses, etc.
• Understanding of FX in general. Not necessarily as an FX specialist but someone that understands the basics of the space
• Ability to influence cross- functional teams and align verticals into enterprise-wide outcomes with demonstrated examples of success in managing internal and external partnerships and the ability to negotiate and navigate relationships with internal stakeholders and large external agencies
• Analytical and conceptual thinker with ability to operate in a “blue sky” environment based on strategic thinking, innovation, mentoring, scaling, collaboration, etc. Specifically, as this relates to the job, you have the innate ability to figure out the ideal commercial process with every new country / partner
• Able to get stuff done. Not afraid to get hands dirty to deliver what is needed. Ideally, someone with creativity and an own view of how NIUM should set up things – leveraging her local experience in the markets.
