Primary Purpose of the Position
Provide re-active and pro-active incident resolution and service request management for IT applications,
software, hardware and network systems, including user administration. Assist in resolution of identified
problems.
This position is responsible for the following:
Serve as the first point of contact for internal clients seeking technical assistance over the phone or
email.
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by internal clients. Walk the internal clients through the problem-solving process.
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
Record events and problems and their resolution in the service desk.
Follow-up and update internal clients status and information.
Pass on any feedback or suggestions by internal clients to the appropriate internal team.
Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
Making recommendations to optimize IT performance and to prevent future problems.
Documenting processes and maintaining service desk records.
