About The Team
Based in our central Hub in Allambie, this site is not only an advanced Cerebral Palsy Clinic, but also has a purpose built hydrotherapy pool and customised seating workshop. This is a large multidisciplinary team with some great experience providing an excellent opportunity to collaborate and leam from your colleagues.
The focus of this position is to support an existing pediatric caseload (0-6years) and the Allambie Early Intervention Infant Clinic.
Whilst your caseload may include clients of any age, this role will be specifically suitable for someone with a strong paediatric background.

What We're Looking For:
Relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy
Evidence of current AHPRA egistration or a willingness to attain it.
A current driver's license.

Volunteer opportunities include supporting our allied health therapy teams working with children and adults, supporting our Lifestyles, sports and accommodation clients, or gaining experience in our corporate services.
Details of the role:
We understand that children and adults with cerebral palsy and similar conditions can find visiting a regular dentist challenging. Run by volunteer dental practitioners, our clinic has specialised equipment uniquely designed to treat people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, providing more comfort and access than regular dental clinics. The clinic normally runs 2 or 3 mornings each week, typically on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday however days can vary depending on the availability of our volunteer dental practitioners. We are looking for long term volunteers with at least a 12 month commitment.

Dates & Times:
Our volunteer dental practitioners are usually rostered on for half day morning clinics throughout the year, typically run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Our Dental Clinic Manager will work with you to schedule flexible days and times that suit your current work commitments. You can choose how many clinics to attend each year.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Offering clients of Cerebral Palsy Alliance your professional services as a dental hygienist/oral health therapist and helping our clients to achieve and maintain oral health.
Role requirements:
Current AHPRA (dental hygienist/oral health therapist) registration
Current dentistry certification/qualification
NDIS Worker Screening check
Working with Children Check (NSW)
Excellent chairside manner and great communication skills
At least 12 months experience working in a dental clinic
Experience working with people with a disability desirable
