Position Summary

The Senior Director, Tax Advisory will work closely with International Tax & Transfer Pricing colleagues to support to stakeholders across the bank and assess the international tax and transfer pricing implications of cross-border transactions.

Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their exclusive & retained client based just outside Coupar Angus for a permanent Senior Accountant to join an established team. This role has a progression route planned to Finance Manager and ultimately, Finance Director. Salary is up to £55,000 depending on experience + 35 days annual leave, competitive pension, discretionary bonus & other benefits including a health care cash plan. This role is full-time at 35 hours a week. However, part-time individuals may be considered for the right person. The role is based full time in the office, but hybrid working can be considered once you have completed your probationary period.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will complete a varied workload within both management & financial accounting responsibilities. You will prepare the monthly management accounts including various analysis and complete various financial reports. You will complete group accounting & consolidation. You will complete various reports including stock & KPIs. You will be responsible for completing various process & system improvement projects including being involved in the implementation of a new finance system. You will also be happy to complete more junior responsibilities including complete bank & balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, P & L & nominal ledger accounting. You will oversee some transactional accounting staff, process expenses etc in a hands-on manner.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Accountant who has completed a varied workload including management accounting or you will be a first mover from practice into industry. You will possess excellent communication skills, strong IT experience including Excel and be comfortable working both alone and as part of a team. You will have experience completing process & system improvement. Experience dealing with ERP systems is a bonus but not essential.
