The person in this role will be charged with increasing our client penetration rate across the entire APAC region, both for first time VCF clients and for existing VCF clients to maximize our share of their working capital and value chain wallet.

• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify F&B market trends, emerging suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining stringent quality standards.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the F&B procurement function, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant F&B procurement regulations, standards, and company policies, prioritizing food safety and sustainability throughout the supply chain.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of procurement leads with specialized expertise in F&B procurement, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Develop and oversee the F&B procurement budget, tracking expenditures and optimizing resource allocation to achieve financial targets while maximizing value.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within each division, including operations, culinary, and quality assurance, to align F&B procurement activities with organizational goals and customer expectations.
• Provide regular communication of F&B procurement strategies, achievements, and challenges to senior management and key stakeholders, emphasizing the strategic importance of procurement in driving business success within the F&B industry.

Job Requirements:

• Strong background in the F&B industry with a robust network of food and non-food suppliers.
• Experience with commodity procurement, particularly in wheat, sugar, oil and dairy sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a monthly trade volume of at least S$10 million.
• International experience is preferred, with exposure to markets such as Thailand and China.
• Proven track record of implementing creative cost-saving measures.
• Experience in the frozen food business will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

· Direct and enhance the performance of financial management and purchasing departments.

· Spearhead the development of robust financial reports and management processes to support decision-making.

· Manage comprehensive budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

Your new role
We are looking to recruit at Manager or Associate Director level. This role would be integrated into the wider Birmingham tax team, but also into the national ESG/Reward team. Supporting the national partners on projects won from elsewhere, with access to the junior staff from the national Reward team as required, but you would also focus on winning (with partner support) work from Birmingham clients and servicing work locally.


What you'll need to succeed
Someone with at least a few years specialist Reward/share schemes experience is required for this role rather than a generalist looking to specialise. We are also open to recruiting from law firms provided that they are already specialists.
