Neuromodulation
Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
The Opportunity
Our Neuromodulation business is an area of expertise for Abbott. This business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. Our deep brain stimulation technology for progressive diseases helps people manage their Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor symptoms, steering away from side effects.
The Corporate Sales Executive for Abbott Neuromodulation is a manager-level field-based position. It entails selling the entire Neuromodulation portfolio to targeted regional Integrated Delivery Networks, GPOs, and strategic accounts. The selling process includes forging strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, upper and mid-level executives within IDN headquarters as well as with targeted strategic accounts. Additional responsibilities include targeting individuals with whom to forge strong corporate relationships, from the clinical level to the C-Suite. The Corporate Sales Executive will focus on developing new business markets employing innovative contracting strategies to obtain system-wide agreements. They will also help coordinate the activities of three diverse business units; working closely with field sales and sales management to develop and implement specific strategies.
What You’ll Work On
- Coordinating the sales activity amongst the Neuromodulation business units.
- Developing relevant business plans with clearly defined strategies and objectives at the targeted IDN level, the account level, and GPO level by BU.
- Selling, including cross-business unit initiatives to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Closing contracts designed to maximize sales value to Abbott and the account.
- Ensuring contract optimization through effective implementation strategies and business reviews.
- Account Management/Customer Care.
- Communication of Abbott Neuromodulation’s value proposition at regular intervals at all levels within targeted IDN, GPO, and strategic accounts.
- Leadership and self-development.
- Effectively manage assigned budget while maximizing return on investment.
- Developing and executing value-added programs.
- Represent Strategic Accounts and Abbott Neuromodulation at regional and local trade association meetings and key divisional sales meetings to promote corporate initiatives, products, programs, and to educate internal and external customers on a variety of key healthcare issues.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 8-10 years’ sales and sales leadership experience in Medical Devices
- 2+ years’ experience selling directly to C-suite leaders at IDNs, GPOs, and strategic accounts.
- Sales experience with Class III implantable Medical devices and/or neuromodulation products.
