As our Contract Management and Procurement Specialist you will join our growing team in Malaysia covering Contract Management and negotiation of agreements with goods and service providers in close
coordination with legal, compliance and commercial stakeholders. In addition to initiating and coordinate regional B2B commercial engagements and initiatives with key vendors and partners including liaising with local and state-based government instrumentalities and regulators.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining industry and market knowledge relevant to sourcing opportunities.
- Assisting in the development of localised service, support and procurement documentation and processes.
- Gathering and understanding requirements from various NEXTDC business units and
- translate these into local initiatives and assist and coordinating these with stakeholders from the parent company and other stakeholders.
- Managing contractual relationships with the aim of building strong supplier relationships and lowering risk, the total cost of ownership and ensuring compliance with technical and quality assurance requirements.
- Act as a delegate and represent the Legal, Compliance & Procurement functions at a local level on third-party engagements and project governance activities.
- Assist in developing key sourcing processes and procedures to ensure that NEXTDC supplier engagements are well structured and identify opportunities to consolidate and lower costs and promote standardisation levels across the organisation.
What you’ll bring:
- Demonstratable experience in the development and management of end to end bid and strategic sourcing strategies.
- Experience with contract drafting, review, negotiation and stakeholder management
- Detailed knowledge of risk management strategies and processes
- Ability to apply critical thinking to complex business issues
- Experience with contract management and vendor performance
- Exceptional planning, organisational and analytical skills
