The role
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Cost Engineer

• Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
• Extensive experience applying budgeting & cost control in a complex environment
• Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3-4/JCT etc…) including resolution of claims and disputes
• Advanced knowledge of cost management techniques
• Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management

Qualifications for the Cost Engineer

• HNC or bachelor's level qualification/degree (or equivalent) in cost engineering, project management, quantity surveying or a related field

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) /security clearance for this role.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be part of the IFRS 17 systems team as a Senior Finance System Engineer. · Assembles System Test cases and expected results

Our Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Finance / Insurance degree.

• Certified pertaining to Business Analysis (CBAP or equivalent).

• Certified Agile / Scrum practitioner will be an added advantage

• Minimum 5 years working experience in IT and experience handling projects or BAU in Insurance

• core systems or Finance systems.

• Experience in implementing or handling core Insurance systems or experience in financial reporting systems.

• Experience in handling inbound and outbound interfaces between upstream or downstream systems.

Job Objectives

Candidate will work closely with the respective stakeholders within TCOE (Testing Center of Excellence), primarily TPMs (Test Programme Managers) and test vendor partners to make sure the testing operation functions are running seamlessly.

Reporting to the TCOE Test Operations Lead, the candidate shall ensure that TCOE operation functions are tracked, monitored and reported periodically.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages the administrative processes, methods and standards to ensure that the operation functions within TCOE is adhered
• Design tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensure the administrative function are compliant with defined policies and standards
• Design and operate a process to centralise the main 4 TCOE administrative functions in the financial lifecycle
  • Request for eCRF (Electronic Contract Repository Form)
  • Request for eMemo (Electronic Memo request for budget drawdown)

• Collaborate and define clear segregation of functions between TCOE and P&OP (Process & Operations Planning team), a shared operation functions across GIPS (Group Infrastructure & Platform Services)

• Support the TCOE Business Continuity Program functions such as BCP awareness and Calltree exercise

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering/ Banking & Finance or related field
• Must have oral and written communication abilities for both English language
• Proven working experience in operation administrative functions equivalent role with at least 6 to 9 years relevant experience in Banking and Finance
• Demonstrated success in developing highly effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver collaboration, partnerships and services

The main function of this role is to

Role - Cost Schedule Controls Engineer

Full time - 37.5 hours per week - working 5 days on 2 days off

Salary - £ 49,000 - £64,900 per annum

About the Role

The Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer will perform or coordinate effort for cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight and quality assurance reviews for Company operated and Other Builder Operator estimates for all Gate and Funding milestones. The Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer will also prepare Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with Operated by Others (OBO) Operator prepared submittals. You will participate in estimate / Schedule assessments (verification of project cost & schedule bases). Lastly, you are expected to participate in Estimating Group process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 would:

• Be responsible for maintaining change control, cost reports, etc.
• Work with project estimator, planner and scheduler and Client's accounting staff
• Coordinate and assemble the monthly progress reports
• Work closely with client's project manager and team leads for regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements
