The new Centre for Investor Protection aims to undertake independent research, public education and related activities to promote the improvement of investor protection in Singapore and beyond. Projects conducted by the centre should have significant implications for policy and practices relating to investor protection. The key types of research and activities to be conducted are:
(a) Practice and academic research

(c) Public education seminars and workshops

The Research Manager will report to the centre Director and is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the centre’s projects. This includes working with the centre Director and project leaders in designing and implementing research methodologies, analyzing data, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders; and overseeing and managing the writing and editing of case studies. The Research Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of researchers and student assistants and ensuring the successful execution of projects within established timelines and budgets.

2. Conduct pre and post assessment using Gym Tonic protocol.
3. Supervise 12-week progressive strength training and maintenance training.

6. Maintenance of gym equipment for safety and efficiency
7. Assist in money collection, issue receipts, maintenance of pretty cash and centre supplies.

Qualifications & Requirements:
· Related qualification in working with the elderly or in the social service sector

The Heat Resilience & Performance Centre (HRPC) is a first-of-its-kind research centre, established at the National University of Singapore (NUS), to spearhead and conduct research and development to address the challenges arising from climate change & extreme heat.
We are seeking a Research Associate who will play a key role in assisting in the development, execution and analysis of research aimed at addressing the challenges of training and operating in rising ambient temperatures. Background and experience in the management and analysis of large data sets would be advantageous as the centre has a strong data focus. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary group comprising exercise and thermal physiologists, data scientists, biomedical engineers and researchers. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to not only develop your expertise in research planning and execution, but also to be a part of the team looking to generate fundamental and forward-looking solutions to working in the heat.
The main areas of responsibilities of the role will include:
• Working with research PIs and teams to develop new research ideas
• Performing literature searches, assimilating, and summarizing key information, as well as identifying knowledge gaps
• Designing and conducting relevant studies and surveys (qualitative and quantitative, including lab and outfield studies)
• Establishing and managing large databases
• Interpreting and analysis of data
• Generating reports and present data to relevant stakeholders
• Contributing to conference presentations and write papers for submission to peer reviewed journals

Key Skills required:
-Experience of working in community based services or with young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
-Comfortable working with challenging behaviour
-Ability to work as a team and build relationships with learners, parents and staff
-A positive and resilient attitude
-Minimum Grade C or equivalent, in English Language & Maths is desirable
-Care certificate is desirable
-Own means of transport
