We have a great opportunity for a Quality Manager to join the VolkerStevin team. You will be responsible for ensuring sites and departments are in compliance with company procedures, carry out audits and inspections in line with management system requirements, provide support to the site teams and the wider business, be an active part of supporting key initiatives and supporting business development and continual improvement.

This will be a roving role covering projects in the North West region (and other parts of the country as required).

About you

• Carry out site audits and inspections and departmental audits to meet, as a minimum, the requirements of the management system in addition to supplier audits as required.
• Support third party and supply chain audit requirements where requested.
• Provide reports on assurance and compliance with the management systems and performance against client requirements and audits, inspections and NCRS.
• Provide support to the sites, providing guidance, and supporting site activities, such as initiatives and other continual improvement projects.
• Applicant will require security clearance and be a British national.
• Support key project level challenges and developments.

What you’ll be doing
The position of Quality Advisor - Projects sits within SPT Projects who are the Engineering and Construction arm of the SPEN business. The role will be supporting large scale CDM projects and monitoring a variety of subcontractors workmanship., The role is hybrid working but will involve inspecting several sites within the SPEN network area, which is Stirling to Scottish Borders.
As a Quality Advisor - Projects, you will be working as part of the Project Teams on multi-million-pound energy construction projects.
You will support the Project Team – this includes interaction with engineering, project management, construction, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective works planning and coordination; regarding quality performance to ensure projects comply with processes and procedures and the correct product is delivered on the ground.
The project types range from refurbishment of existing Substations and Overhead Lines to new Substation, Underground Cable and Overhead Line builds which have disaggregated work packages and multiple contractors delivering one project. Broken into Civil, Enabling Works, Balance of Plant, Commissioning and Free Issue Supply contracts. Problem solving and influencing others is a key aspect of the role.
You’ll support a number of projects at one time during construction, while working to the agreed project programmes and ensure quality documents and requirements are produced in a timely manner.
