As an HR intern in Patient Safety & Quality, you will be a part of several HR projects, focused on implementation/ change initiatives. Your role:

In return, we offer you

• Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

• Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety related programs to meet or exceed company safety standards.

• Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits with special emphasis on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors and correction of potential third party, asset loss and workers compensation losses.

• Assist in the preparation and performance of safety meetings and training programs to ensure the effective communication of company policy and safety standards.

• Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Assist in the development and review of job hazard analysis for each major phase of our work to ensure its safe completion.

• Assist in the investigation, preparation and maintenance of records of all third party, asset loss, and worker’s compensation claims to make certain that Company interests are preserved.

• Assist in the follow up with the corporate insurance department regarding claims, to ensure that the appropriate information is collected and that claims will be resolved in a timely manner.

Education

• Currently attending Bachelor’s degree program

Field of Study

• Safety or Occupational Health undergraduate program 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to teach, mentor and lead.

• Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Availability and willingness to travel frequently

• Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred but not required)

Physical Demands

Base Hourly Wage Range :

Hourly: $25.00 $27.00

The Group Operations H&S team provides leadership for H&S strategy and operational improvement for Pernod Ricard industrial sites globally.

The team is involved in the creation, development and maintenance of an effective H&S program and works collaboratively across all Affiliates to lead the H&S roadmap and achieve Pernod Ricard ambition to be best in class by 2025.

The Group Operations team is expected to drive culture change through proactive continuous improvement processes in partnership with PR leaders.

Your key missions

You will be involved in the “Taking Care of Each Other” initiatives towards an interdependent safety culture and will support H&S Group Director and Manager by:

• Focused Project work - Standard compliance: you will take part to the development of Group standards and Operating Requirements by providing support to facilitating working groups and webinars

• Awareness program: you will assist in developing safety training programs for employees, which may include topics like technical safety and ergonomics

• Assessment program: you will support managing the H&S Culture and compliance to Standard Assessment Program, together with the Group H&S manager.

• Safety Culture Promotion: you will be engage in activities to promote a culture of safety within the organization, which might involve creating safety newsletters, or conducting safety meetings

• Incident Investigation: you will assist with the investigation of workplace accidents or incidents, identifying root causes, and making recommendations for prevention. Preparing lessons learnt of accident to share knowledge and take part of preventing accident occurrence

• Research: you will engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices and new developments in the field of health and safety.
