Job Responsibilities*
Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)
1. Lead and drive procurement strategies for the department
2. Contract management
• purchase of services from other PHIs
• supply chain management
3. Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers and ALPs
4. Partner with key stakeholders in developing and implementing initiatives and program. This may include NUHS Cluster Lab Medicine initiatives.
5. Manage new laboratory clinical services plan and/or projects as assigned, in conjunction with Lab SME.
6. Participate and contribute to departmental/cluster meetings.
7. Comply with workplace etiquette in line with NUHS core values.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (20%)
1. Participate in Licensing and Audit
2. Ensure accidents/incidents are investigated, documented, and reported in accordance with department and hospital policy.
3. Collaborate with other medical institutions regarding inter-laboratory activities as required.
4. Any other duties as required by the HOD and/or RO.
Requirements*
Degree or postgraduate degree
Required Competencies and Capabilities (Skills, Experiences and Professional Licences)
1. 10 years of relevant experience preferably in healthcare
2. Procurement experience will be advantageous.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals.
4. Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
5. Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP is desirable.
