PURPOSE
- Apply visual presentation strategies that are in line with the current trends and
specific brand aesthetics to promote various brands, attract shoppers and
maximise sales.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and conceptualize visually appealing displays for windows and
store interior.
- Work closely with the Operations, Marketing and Merchandising team to
develop and execute merchandise presentation strategy.
- In-charge of VM props and material management which includes
sourcing, ordering and inventory control.
- Lead, train and develop the team of Visual Merchandisers on-the-job.
- Maintain work schedules for VM team members and oversee their
performance.
- Train and develop potential visual support team at outlets to maintain
visual concepts and flex displays based on inventory.
- Responsible for the entire visual merchandising process for new retail
stores including visual standards, fixture placement, floor setup, window
display, fixture design and merchandising presentation concepts.
- Regularly assess and keep up-to-date with consumer and fashion trends
in the prevailing market.
- Travel periodically outstation for store set-ups, opening and/or closures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Degree/diploma in visual communications/graphic design/interior
design/retail management or a related field;
- Proven solid work experience as a visual merchandiser;
Design expertise with comprehensive portfolio of relevant visual design
work;
- Good fashion sense;
- Creative with keen eyes for aesthetic appeal;
- Experienced in using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop,
InDesign) or other visual design tools;
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
