We are looking for supply teachers to work within the Hinckley area, allowing you to build relationships with schools in the area whilst retaining work flexibility and without planning and marking to suit your needs and work-life balance.

Your new role

As a Supply Teacher working in a Secondary School, you will be able to cover lessons suited to your curriculum strength and you will also be required to cover across the wider curriculum.
Your duties:

• Supervise students in lessons whilst delivering pre-prepared work left by the teacher
• Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom
• Be familiar with the school's policies and procedures and deal with any immediate problems.
• Collating the completed work from the lesson and leaving handover/feedback for the returning teacher

For long-term positions, you may be required to plan, mark and assess pupils' work, but PPA time will be included.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed, you must be a teacher with Qualified Teacher Status. Hays welcomes more experienced teachers as well as ECT's/NQT's. You must be professional and have a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes. You must have relevant experience working with 11 - 16 year olds within the last 2 years and we must be able to obtain relevant references for this time. You should have a professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about working with young people. Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools' behaviour polices is also essential.

Your new primary schools
Primary Supply Teachers are in high demand in our partnership schools in the Merton area. We work with many schools and, therefore, can offer you regular work. By working as a Primary Supply, you have flexibility on the days you wish to work. You can also choose if you would like to receive morning calls or to be pre-booked in advance. Applications will be accepted from qualified and newly qualified teachers (ECT).
The primary education team in London have a total of 30 years' experience with some in the team with teaching experience. We understand what it is like in the classroom and will support you all the way through with up-to-date training and a dedicated consultant who will cater to your needs and call you weekly to see how your week has gone.

About your role as a Primary Supply Teacher
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you have will have strengths within early years, KS1 or KS2. You will need to cover classes delivering planned lessons set by the class teacher or sometimes your own lessons for unplanned sick cover. Some of your other duties will include:

• Managing behaviour in the classroom
• Becoming familiar and acting on school policies and procedures
• Marking all the work at the end of each lesson
• Leaving a handover for the class teacher

What you will need to succeed
