- To provide advice, counsel and resolution on a broad range of employee’s issues, related policy integration and interpretation, work conditions and Labour Law compliance.
- To manage disciplinary issues and recommend appropriate disciplinary action including conducting domestic inquiry, draft show cause letter, and other related disciplinary letters/actions.
- To support resolution of employee relations issues and conducts investigation as necessary, not limiting to conduct a preliminary investigation, schedule the event, identify witnesses, collate information/data, identify panel members, prepare exhibits etc.
- To always keep abreast with the latest changes to Labour Law legislation by authorities as well as latest judicial precedents on IR dispute.
- Responsible for developing a clear framework for industrial relation policies and guidelines for the fair and effective management of employees.
- To maintain and constantly review the effectiveness of all relevant policies and procedures to ensure that they support delivery of quality.
- Responsible to manage Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), it’s policy and procedure.
Job Requirement :
- Minimum 1 to 2 years in a similar capacity with specialization in IR matters.
- Tertiary education with HR background, law background will be an advantage.
- Have the basic knowledge of Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967.
- Experienced in conducting domestic inquiry and report writing, attending cases at court level is an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills, tactful with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can handle multitasks and analyse beyond prima facie on issues.
