Summary of Job Duties:
This Administrative Specialist III works under general supervision and is responsible for typing and providing clerical support to supervisory and professional staff.
General Tasks
1. Types forms, reports, tests, correspondence, memorandums, and various other documents, as needed.
2. Answers telephone and routes calls or takes messages.
3. Sorts and distributes daily mail for divisional personnel.
4. Acts as an office receptionist by greeting and directing visitors.
5. Records minutes of UAHT Foundation Board meetings.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Working Relationships
The Administrative Assistant has daily contact with students, faculty, staff, and other individuals.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
Knowledge of business English, punctuation, and spelling
Knowledge of general office procedures
Knowledge of basic record keeping procedures
Ability to type and perform data entry operations
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to maintain filing systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Ability to learn Office Management Software
Ability to generate expense reports and reconcile financial statements

Special Requirements
Friendliness and enthusiasm are necessary in this position.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Social Media Platforms
