Record and coordinate the flow of work and materials between departments, examine
orders for goods, and prepare production schedules.
Formal qualifications are not essential to work as a Production Clerk.
Although some workers have a Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification or a university degree in transport, logistics or warehousing operations.
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Accountable for the stock balance for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Updatesinventory and stock location records. Checks inventories and prepares
delivery schedules.
- Count incoming stock and reconciles it with requisitions. Examines orders and
compiles data for production schedules.
- Receive all incoming goods and verify against purchase orders for quantity
and specification.
- Establishes and co-ordinates the operating procedures for receiving,
responsible to ensure the quality of goods are maintained with proper
handling, storage, and shipping goods.
- Ensure goods despatched are securely packed to avoid transit damage.
- Liaise with Financial Section and Sales & Marketing Department to ensure
despatch requirements are met.
- Liaise with production personnel on quality problems and take the necessary
corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
- Responsible to prepare the packing slip and loading summary to generate
delivery order & invoice.
- Examines containers to ensure that they are filled, and records quantities.
- Investigates and identifies supply sources and prepares and processes purchase orders.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
a) Min SPM or equivalent.
b) Knowledge of computer is preferred
