Key areas of focus for the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) Supervisor/Clinician will be: Educational Mental Health Practitioner Support and Supervision Being able to identify needs and working alongside other MH professionals in schools and in the community to identify appropriate support for the specific user Build and maintain relationship with the Designated Mental Health Lead in some of the schools supported in this project Delivering Interventions and Client Care Supporting the development of the service

Provides professional leadership on Art/Music/Drama Psychotherapy. Ensures that the services provided are delivered in a culturally competent manner within Art/drama/music therapy. To plan and provide an Art/Drama/Music Therapy service for the Relevant CAMHS Team. To receive and assess referrals for treatment appropriate to Art/drama/music therapy from the Relevant CAMHS Team. To carry out assessments and provide Art/drama/music therapy for individuals and groups, for children, adolescents and their families with complex, severe and enduring mental health problems and to regularly evaluate the therapy. This will include the responsibility for prioritising treatment based on the relevant CAMHS Team criteria, to deliver an effective and equitable service, within available resources, and liaison with other arts psychotherapists in CAMHS in order to provide a wider range of arts psychotherapies, if appropriate. To provide specialist Art/drama/music therapy individual and/or group sessions using advanced levels of skill, as the primary intervention, or as part of patients treatment programmes. To create and develop specific art/drama/music therapies practices relevant to this area of practice including attachment, communication and development disorders, and childhood trauma, mood and behavioural disorders. To adapt and deliver models of art/drama/music therapy practice congruent with the treatment approach of patients specific care plans, and team philosophy. To plan and organise training and education for students and staff and be part of the induction of others re the art/drama/music therapies. To work as an autonomous practitioner and as a member of a Multidisciplinary Team. To provide consultation, clinical and reflective supervision for other practitioners, therapists and students where appropriate and clinical supervision to members of other professions as and when required. Manages budget for maintaining art/drama/music therapy service and other use of arts equipment & materials by MDT Manages safety overview of materials and equipment under control of the art/drama/music therapist. Implements policies and procedures or changes to working practices for own work area. Participates in the development and implementation of evidence based effective practices in the service including NICE guidance.

You will also be part of a Team of Art Psychotherapists providing access to peer supervision and many exciting development opportunities. You will receive clinical supervision and line management within the service.
