Duties and Responsibilities :
The duties and responsibilities of the Executive Purchasing shall include but not limited to the following:
1. Responsible to source, negotiate and compare market prices and term conditions with vendors to ensure optimum cost, reliable supply, and technically & commercially to meet company objective.
2. Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
3. Monitor & coordinate goods to ensure deliveries are on time
4. To ensure that all products are supplied and delivered are in accordance with purchase order and project requirements.
5. To prepare a checklist of item ordering and item delivered are the same in term of agreed rate, amount and quantity.
6. To prepare all related document needed in order to pay supplier within stipulated / agreed time frame.
7. Manage & control costing for all projects including miscellaneous works, to ensure all costs are within budget and savings.
8. To liaise with suppliers on payment terms / modes and to advise management accordingly.
9. To establish & maintain good relationship with internal department & external related suppliers.
10. Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Degree holder in Building or Construction or Project Management or equivalent
2. Minimum 3 years working experience in construction works and high-rise building.
3. Have related knowledge in construction materials.
4. Have related knowledge in purchasing heavy machinery and equipments
5. The person must possess, but not limited to, the following essential skills and qualities:
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Good computer knowledge
- Trustworthy, integrity and strong sense of responsibility
- Good interpersonal and negotiating skills
