Job Scope:
a. Provide administrative support for the smooth and effective operations for the Science Lab, including preparing materials and experimental set-ups for science lessons as required by teachers
b. Perform administrative duties including the preparation and verification of documents received relevant to the department, maintaining and updating of stock records, filing and typing relevant documents required for the department.
c. Preparation and stock taking of deskcopies for distribution and collection from teachers.
d. Ensuring safety and cleanliness in the Science Lab, Makerspace and gardens around the school are maintained.
e. Ensuring security of Science Lab and Makerspace items.
f. Ensuring signages in the gardens are well-maintained and accounted for.
g. Monitoring the use of Makerspace by students and ensuring products placed at Makerspace are accounted for.
h. Work together with teachers in the department for projects/ activities (e.g., gardening, recycling, toy making, feeding of fishes).
i. Undertake any duties/projects as assigned by the school
j. On a school’s need basis
Requirements:
1. Possess at least one of the following qualifications:
a. Full GCE ‘A’ Level/ 2 GCE ‘A’ Level Passes;
or b. Higher Nitec in Accounting/ Certificate in Business Studies;
or c. 3 GCE ‘O’ Level Passes; or Nitec in Service Skills (Office)/ Nitec in Office Skills / Certificate in Office Skills;
or ESS Career Readiness Certificate (Operations)
2. Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
3. Proficient in IT skills such as Microsoft Word or Excel
4. Pleasant disposition and positive attitude
5. Can work independently and in a team
6. Able to handle various responsibilities professionally
Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2024 to 31 Dec 2024 (option to extend till 31 Dec 2025)
Salary: $1600 - $1800/month
Working Arrangement:
• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: 8:00am to 3:00pm
• Wednesdays: 8:00am to 5:00pm
inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
