About the company
This company is Malaysia's leading retail group on international luxury fashion and lifestyle brands. With over 100 labels under its portfolio, they are one of the most recognizable brands in Malaysia.
Currently they are recruiting junior accounting candidates to join their finance team based at their corporate head office at Lakefields, in the vicinity of The Mines in Sungei Besi/Seri Kembangan area.
The company operates on a 5-day week basis, from 9.30am to 6.30pm, Monday-Friday.

About the job
The opening is a full time permanent position at junior level. Reporting to Senior Accounts Executive and/or Finance Manager, the role will work in close liaison with both the reconciliation and accounts receivable teams.
The main purpose of the positions is to provide assistance and support to the Finance Manager in relevant aspects of accounting functions such as purchase and sales ledger maintenance, processing invoices, supplier reconciliation, bank reconciliation, inventory management and pricing. Part of the role and duties will be performing posting of the accounting information in the accounting system.
About the Candidate
Candidates for this junior role must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma qualification in Accounting/Book Keeping.Candidate should have at least one or two years of accounting experience working ideally in retail industry. In this case, fresh graduates with Bachelor degree will be duly considered. Strong Excel and Mathematics skills are essential to succeed in this role.

The job
The successful candidate for this role will be working in a small growing team and the position will assist the Company Secretary with the entire company secretarial functions across various subsidiaries and jurisdictions. The role will involve close contact with Directors, senior management, in particular Tax, Legal, Group financial Reporting within the organization.
This is a broad ranging and hands-on role which involves working in a busy team environment.
The responsibilities will involve:

Candidate must be a qualified Chartered Secretary/ICSA associate level with minimum 3 years of post qualified experience in handling corporate secretarial duties.
Possess strong knowledge of basic company secretarial compliance matters, maintenance of company registers and share certificates,issuing and transfer of shares and listing requirements.
Experience of convening and attending Board meetings plus preparation of minutes.
Experience of drafting board and shareholder resolutions.
Excellent written and spoken English is necessary and essential.

Key Responsibilities
This is a full time permanent position, reporting directly to Financial Controller of the group in Malaysia.
In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of group financial reporting including group consolidation on a monthly/quarterly and yearly basis,undertake full spectrum of finance duties, corporate finance, planning and analysis,taxation and cash flow management.
The role will be to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions of the company and several subsidiary companies within the group.
Duties & responsibilities:
-Responsible for the preparation of Group consolidated statutory accounts on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
-Preparation of statutory Accounts for key subsidiaries within the Group.
-Responsible for the financial management of the company and Group.
-Prepare monthly investment and cash flow projection reports.
-Review country-by-country report,master files and transfer pricing.
-Responsible for quarterly and yearly reports for Bursa Malaysia announcement.
-Manage taxation, audit and all related matters.
Key requirements.
-To be considered for this senior accounting role, candidate must possess minimum a professional qualification ACCA/CIMA; bachelor degree will be duly considered.
-Member of MIA.
-Preference for candidates who are in age group 38-48.
-At least 5-8 years of hands on role on group consolidation of accounts and corporate finance functionality.
-Ideally candidate with prior experience in PLC set up will be an asset.
-The successful applicant will be strong in consolidation of group accounts.
Good working knowledge on Main Board Listing requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities and MFRS/IFRS.
-A confident and well organised self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Good command of spoken and written English is required with good writing skills.
-A good working knowledge of accounting standards (FRS & IAS),taxation and company law will definitely a prerequisite to be considered for this role.

Duties & responsibilities:
-Responsible for the preparation of Group consolidated statutory accounts on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
-Preparation of statutory Accounts for key subsidiaries within the Group.
-Responsible for the financial management of the company and Group.
-Prepare monthly investment and cash flow projection reports.
-Review country-by-country report,master files and transfer pricing.
-Responsible for quarterly and yearly reports for Bursa Malaysia announcement.
-Manage taxation, audit and all related matters.
Key requirements.
-To be considered for this senior accounting role, candidate must possess minimum a professional qualification ACCA/CIMA; bachelor degree will be duly considered.
-Member of MIA.
-Preference for candidates who are in age group 38-48.
-At least 5-8 years of hands on role on group consolidation of accounts and corporate finance functionality.
-Ideally candidate with prior experience in PLC set up will be an asset.
-The successful applicant will be strong in consolidation of group accounts.
Good working knowledge on Main Board Listing requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities and MFRS/IFRS.
-A confident and well organised self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Good command of spoken and written English is required with good writing skills.
-A good working knowledge of accounting standards (FRS & IAS),taxation and company law will definitely a prerequisite to be considered for this role.

The job role
This position reports directly to the Manager of Planning and Reporting.
Main task is to provide financial support to the property development team across a portfolio of properties to ensure timely accurate reporting, forecasting and analysis which will contribute to commercial decisions.
Key duties:
*Manage daily accounting activities, perform month end closing journals and manage accounts payables team.
*Responsible to manage full set of Accounts for property development entity with the Group.
*Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.
*Assist in management of budget control.
*Support closing by producing Financial Accounts by carrying out Review provision,accrual,prepayments.
*Provide support on Variance Analysis report.
*Prepare audit schedules.
*Support in taxation matters and budget preparation.
*Manage Fixed Assets/Investment Properties register and documentation.
The person
To be successful in this role, candidate must possess accounting qualification,either a Bachelor degree or completed Professional course (ACCA/CIMA)
High regard if a member of MIA.
Significant of 5-6 years working experience in handling full set of accounts/financial reporting role in property development accounts industry.
Excellent communication skills (English, BM and Chinese/Mandarin)
Good knowledge in accounting system applications; knowledge in Noetic accounting system will be an added advantage.
