The Commercial Officer (“CO”) is responsible to support the commercial team in providing a comprehensive range of administrative and office support duties. The "CO" is also required to prepare the necessary reports for Commercial Manager and assist in all other day to day job activities.
Responsibilities:
To prepare and update the master voyage charter summary by keeping track of the port charges, brokerage commission, and demurrage.
To liaise with the Finance Department on receiving invoices and to prepare additional documents if requested by the respective department.
To ensure EPDA and FDA are properly checked, verified with relevant supporting documents before submitting for payment.
To keep track and compile all related documents for demurrage claims including drafting demurrage computation.
To monitor vessels and agents updates following voyage order included ETA notice and charterers’ details.
To ensure all commercial documents are properly verified, compiled, and filling which including voyage order, fixture notes, shipload and discharge documents, and lay time calculation spreadsheet.
To gather any required information by the Commercial Manager.
To assist within company group ad-hoc tasks or specific projects or tenders. For example contract agreement, tender preparation, tender clarifications, documentation, filling and any other related matters.
Requirement :
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Maritime Management / Logistic / Marketing or any related course will have an added advantage.
Understanding of Marine and Shipping business.
Good in Microsoft office applications
Able to work both independently as well as in a team

· Maintaining of cash book, asset register and accounting documents
· Assist in overall accounts for audit.
· Experience in preparing project accounts from medium to large scale.
· Use of SAP an added advantage
· Compile documents for overall and project audit.
· Invoicing, Verifying of staff claims vs advances in multiple currencies
· Maintaining/setting up of separate project accounts and ie GL reconciliation/audit trail based on funders requirement.
Job Requirements
· Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance
· High degree of competency in computer and internet use
· Fluent and conversant in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
· Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience

This is a permanent role and will be reporting to Accountant in the Finance Department. As Accounting Officer, you will be responsible to perform support role covering finance and accounting functions, data entry, general administrative duties and liaising with sales and operations staff.
The roles & responsibilities are listed below:
*Provide high quality accounting and administrative support to Supervisor by performing accounting tasks and general dministrative duties.
*Perform data entry duties for the accounting activities, including preparation of cheques and invoices, vouchers, accounting statement and reports.
*Handling communications with clients and vendors via telephone, e-mail and in person.
Requirements
*Female preferred.
*Minimum SPM/UEC or Certificate/Diploma qualification in Accounting/Book-Keeping or Business Administration.

About the job location
In this role, you will be based at the PJ Industrial Area of Section 51 in Petaling Jaya. Candidates who are residing in surrounding areas such as Jalan Templer, Jalan Gasing, Taman Medan/Old Klang Road areas and even Section 14 PJ will find it most convenient to commute to the location. Public transportation to this area is lacking, it is therefore necessary you should possess your own vehicle to commute to the work location.
