• As a part of a specialized group within the engineering team you will be supporting the A220 aircraft program in the capacity of Materials and Process specialist.

• Provide primary technical expertise and leadership in resolving Design, Certification, and Compliance issues interacting with the Suppliers, Operations, Quality, Service Engineering, Customer Support and Supply Chain departments

• Work in a Multi-Functional Team on cost reduction opportunities, work on structural modifications and ensure that designs meet all material and processes requirements.

• Perform technical reviews and approval of Engineering Drawings, Manufacturing Techniques Sheets, Forgings Qualification, Test Reports and Qualification Reports.

• Ensure redesign activities meet environmental regulations impacting A220.

• Provide clear visibility to management of the status and/or emerging issues related to the supported activities.

• Work in close collaboration with Liaison Engineers by providing timely M&P technical expertise / dispositions to a variety of manufacturing and assembly issues;

• Engage with the M&P Core specialists (Airbus Commercial) team offsite to resolve key technical issues;

• Exchange information and collaborate with other FAL sites (Mobile) to ensure sharing of technical knowledge;

• Document dispositions on M&P work files;

As the ideal candidate,

• You hold a degree in materials engineering, metallurgy or mechanical engineering.

• You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Aerospace industry directly related to metallic use in Aircraft Structures. Previous experience with certification of a new aircraft is an asset.

• You have an extended knowledge in the materials used in the aerospace industry, understand the mechanisms of wear, corrosion and are at ease with aerospace materials assembly and protection methods

• You have hands-on experience with one or more of the following fields:

  • Metallic material testing and allowables establishment.

  • Familiarity with qualification of forgings, extrusions, castings and other material forms

  • Good understanding of aerospace surface finishing, including plating, anodizing, and organic finishing

  • Aerospace fasteners selection, qualification, and installation requirements

• You are at ease with aerospace industry standards such as SAE ASTM, and OEM specifications, exposure to Federal and Military specifications could be an asset.

• You have shown strong leadership, problem solving, project, and time/priority management skills in your past assignments.

• You have excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and have good understanding of French.

• You are able to work in a cross functional team environment and interact on a daily basis with other professionals and technicians.

• You have a good working knowledge of computer software such as CATIA, Enovia, and Microsoft Office

• You have Material Review Board (MRB) experience;

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements

• The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, with at least eight years of industry experience.

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a significant focus on developing ad tech or ad-serving platforms with high-impact

• Strong expertise in Go programming language and proficiency in concurrent programming

• In-depth understanding of ad tech concepts, including ad serving, real-time bidding, ad targeting, and user profiling

• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• A big plus is knowledge of ad tech protocols and standards (e.g., OpenRTB, VAST, VPAID).

• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance bottlenecks in large-scale systems

• Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

CALIFORNIA ONLY

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $190,000 and $225,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.

• Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineering.

• Analyze and Validate composite & hybrid structures for Fatigue and Damage Tolerance according to validated methods.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines.

• Define, interpret and validate tests.

• Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders.

• Provide relevant input to design for the creation of drawings for manufacture and support to other functions (i.e. production, customer support) as needed.

• Provide stress analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures.

• Perform monitoring/guidance/support of Sub-contracting firms providing structure analysis work.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of Structures, Aerospace, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance or an equivalent field of study.

• Fluent in English, German is nice to have
