General Summary
The Hospital Construction Technician is a highly qualified individual who has working and proven knowledge of the construction industry.
The Hospital Construction Technician will be part of a multi-disciplined team with the abilities to perform multiple trade tasks.
Must demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to communicate with fellow workers, hospital employees and the leadership team.
Under minimal supervision, performs multiple construction and maintenance repairs of interior and exterior structures, fixtures and furnishings according to blue prints, sketches or specific instructions.
Must be a self-starter.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience Preferred
2 years of hospital settings
Minimum Years and Type of Experience Preferred: 2-3 years of construction experience
Demonstrated ability to execute construction projects from initial stages through to completion.
Ability to work from blueprints with plumbing, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Knowledgeable on safety mandates in construction and hospital settings.
Knowledge of general wall construction and ratings.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to set priorities of work functions and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to function as an individual contributor as well as a team player.
Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
