The Role Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced transformation focussed programme manager to lead the TTO vertical workstream of the Bank’s strategic Fit for Growth (FFG) initiative. The successful candidate will work across the entire Transformation, Technology & Operations organisation to spearhead the workstreams that collectively will drive and execute $1bn+ of sustainable saves for the Bank over a three year period. Partnering closely with both the Transformation, Technology & Operations Management Team, together with the central Fit For Growth programme team, the successful candidate be responsible for defining, shaping and co-ordinating the effort to support the Groups transformation, ensuring it is future fit.

Strategy

· Shape and define the workstreams within TTOs vertical FFG workstream

· Understand and set linkage between FFG and TTOs broader strategy (Strategy 25) and multi-year transformation agenda

Business and Processes

· Forge strong relationships with the TTO domains, Finance and FFG Central programme team to drive execution, issue resolution and reporting for the TTO FFG portfolio.

· Provide direction and collaborate closely with the third party FFG partner to effectively manage the TTO vertical workstream in line with the central FFG programme team management structure.

· Drive recurring forums such as Workstream Lead stand ups to create transparency and enforce accountability on what is being worked on, identify potential roadblocks and to facilitate necessary collaboration.

· Provide the TTO Management Team with useful, accurate and timely views of FFG portfolio execution status.

· Ensure Senior Management steer and feedback is incorporated into portfolio delivery

· Have good awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the group operates.

The Role Overview

Standard Chartered is a leading international bank operating in some of the most dynamic markets in the world, in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

This is a role within the Capital Forecasting team, a joint venture between Treasury and Finance, based in London. The team leads the forecasting of the Group’s capital ratios, advising senior management on issues, risks and opportunities, and manages ratios within the Bank’s risk appetite.

The role provides an opportunity to interact directly with a range of stakeholders within Standard Chartered and develop a strong understanding of the Bank and its markets, as well as to directly influence how the Bank is perceived by key external stakeholders such as investors and ratings agencies.

Responsibilities

· Support delivery of the Bank’s performance and capital management strategy through the effective preparation, coordination and delivery of RWA and capital forecasts. The role has a specific focus on Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) forecasting and management and the impact on business performance.

· Support the capital and RWA workstreams for the Group and Solo’s annual financial plans as well as coordinate the production of monthly RWA, capital and leverage exposure forecasts for internal management forums including Group Performance Review (“GPR”), Balance Sheet Review (“BSR”), and regulatory reporting (Capital+)

· Deliver insights and analyses to support regular Board and Management committees, including Board Risk Committee, Group and Solo Asset and Liability Committees, and key external reporting events including half and full year results and interim management statements.

· Work closely with process owners in Reporting and Planning to ensure analyses are timely, accurate and consistent with balance sheet movements.

· Support the enhancement of systems and processes to support effective balance sheet management and forecasting.

· Work closely with Singapore and Chennai based Capital and Balance Sheet Forecasting teams to coordinate deliverables, ad hoc requests and communication with business finance teams.

· Form strong relationships with internal stakeholders in business, finance and global functions to ensure business forecast explains are clear, and risks and opportunities are identified.

· Adhere to the Group’s Risk Management Framework including relevant Operational Risk Framework for Capital Risk

· Ensure forecasts are robust and within approved policies and standards

· 5+Years of experience in financial services background in FP&A/ treasury, risk

· Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management

The Role Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to

· To assist the branch manager in managing the branch to achieve the team sales target by maximizing new business/acquisition/referral opportunities and deepening existing customer relationships to the specified service standards for the differing segments, while ensuring robust sales process and stringent service standards in compliance with local regulatory requirements.

Assist the branch manager in Implementation and oversight of the below responsibilities:

Drive and implement strategies

· Accelerate client acquisition and penetration in target segments

· Develop targeting strategies by Segment and geographic presence such as consideration and pull-based sourcing.

· Inculcate a robust and deep-rooted service culture

· Ensure accurate and timely delivery of client journeys and scripts.

· Work with stakeholders to ensure achievement of Segment-wise targets. Conduct root cause analysis and de-bottleneck issues as required.

Performance Measurement & Tracking

· Responsible for defining strategy for conversion of leads provided by Segment.

· Work closely with Digital channels on fulfillment of Online acquisition and ongoing usage

· Work closely with Segment, Product and Performance Management Teams to ensure overall performance standards and KPIs are met

· Ensure high level of FLC and upkeeping the service standards in our touchpoints

· Ensure deliverables in budget/ scorecards are met

· Ensure contactability ratio of RM to clients

Ensure compliance and familiarity to standards

· Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies and the Group Code of Conduct

· Timely completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training, including e-learning by the set deadlines

· Completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training and related compliance acknowledgements by each member of your team by the set deadlines

· Demonstration of adherence to the Group Management Responsibilities policy and fair accountability principles

· Prompt and decisive action when any risk and compliance weaknesses become apparent, addressing them in an appropriate timeframe, escalating where necessary, having carefully understood what happened and why

· Develop, rollout, maintain and where applicable, recommend procedures and controls that meet / strengthen the requirements of Group and local policies and standards.

· Ensure the teams are 100% compliant with rules and regulations, and ascertain adherence to operational risk controls and procedures in day-to-day management

· To be measured against the overall ORF standards of CR, and be accountable for adherence to Risk Assurance Framework laid down at group and country level.

· To ensure good ratings in internal / external audits, governance, compliance and GIA reviews

· Work with Country Learning and Talent Development/curriculum architects to set training standards at Country Level including those relating to compliance.

· Work collaboratively with Financial Crime Compliance, AML, L&C on Client Due Diligence and KYC processes.

· Provide input to governance and operational risk to define measures and controls for prevention of mis-selling, mis-representation, fraud and for adherence to Treating Clients Fairly principles.

· Ensure timely completion of CPD hours

· Embed strong 1st line credit and conduct mindset and capabilities

· Strengthen staff awareness/knowledge of cyber risk via training of “good” practices and lessons from market incidents

Financial Objectives

· Maintain MIS accuracy and discipline, and ensure adequate control on payment of incentive to sales channels, vendors and agencies

· Ensure effective resources allocation, capacity and cost management linked to participation model and related product / segment strategy and focus

The Role Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for Portfolio of Premier Clients for professional advice, enquiries, complaints, resolving of discrepancies and transaction errors
• Provide the highest standard of client service in response to client enquiries and complaints, so as to create improved and lasting relationship with clients

SMF 4 – CCO CCIB Singapore

Second line of defence responsibilities

As SCM (Corporate & Institutional Banking and Commercial Banking), I am responsible for the second line of defence responsibilities related to Credit Risk for Singapore which involves oversight and challenge of risk management actions from the First Line, including the following:

• Support development and maintenance of the CCIB SINGAPORE Credit Risk Type Framework (“CRTF”) which sets out the overall risk management approach for Credit Risk as applicable to CCIB SINGAPORE portfolio
• Support review of adequacy and effectiveness of the Credit Risk Appetite statements and metrics, as applicable to CCIB SINGAPORE.
• Monitor compliance to Board approved Credit Risk Appetite (as applicable to CCIB SINGAPORE using the risk information report and highlight significant matters for the attention of senior management and senior risk committees.
• For Credit risk (pertaining to CCIB SINGAPORE portfolio), provide independent oversight and challenge of all credit origination activities and approve credit risk exposures proposed by the First Line of Defence based on delegated authorities. Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the portfolio is being maintained within acceptable parameters and for escalating significant risks and issues to the senior Management and senior risk committees as appropriate.
• Provide evidence based annual affirmation to the SCO on the effective management of Credit risk for CCIB SINGAPORE)

The Role Responsibilities

Summary

· Client Services: Client Service Managers (CSM) to deliver consistent and high-quality service to Private Banking clients.

· Facilitate a smooth working relationship of Front Office teams with support functions.

· Business Controls: To comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures and, in particular, highlight suspicious activities/behaviour of clients and staff e.g. account irregularities and alert TL/CA of the suspicious transactions on a timely basis.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Provide comprehensive client support services to TL / CAs in executing a broad range of banking and investment transactions for Private Banking clients.

· Handle and resolve day-to-day queries from clients, TL or CAs on transactional activity, operations, systems, account re-balancing processes etc.
