An Application Engineer performs a variety of duties to support the Regional Sales Manager in a designated region and help meet and exceed overall company sales goals. This position is responsible for reviewing and analysing customer RFQ (request for quote), preparing quotations within standard lead time, coordinating both with customer and sales to provide effective and timely solutions.
Essential Functions:
Ø Act as a resource for customers and Reps in a designated territory, providing basic customer service in an effective, timely and pleasant manner.
Ø Review of customer enquiry documents, P& ID diagrams, specifications etc.
Ø To gather all details.
Ø Sizing and selection of valves.
Ø Preparing Techno commercial Proposal in line to customer technical requirements, commercial conditions of sales and delivery times
Ø Address customer techno commercial queries and issues in a timely manner.
Ø To collect project details against RFQs and upload in Salesforce (CRM).
Ø To demonstrate sense of urgency in handling customer queries. If any technical data is missing, proactively coordinate with sales team, collect relevant data and respond promptly.
Ø Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.
Ø Order processing.
Ø Within existing departmental guidelines, resolve discrepancies between confirmation order information and order processing information. Forward to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications /Experience:
Ø 2-3 year of experience in Quote process in an engineering company.
Ø B.E. – Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering.
Ø Well versed in MS Office, experience of working on ERP.
Ø Good knowledge of commercials terms.
Ø Highly motivated and innovative.
Ø Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Ø Experience in Valve industries is preferred.

Ø Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including, but not limited to, safety glasses and safety shoes.
