An opportunity has arisen for a temporary full time Trainee Purchasing Officer to join the Procurement and Contract Management Team for a 2 year term.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the effective purchasing of goods, works and services on behalf of the Council, and effectively managing contracts with suppliers and contractors to ensure best value is achieved at all times.
The work base for this position is flexible with office and remote home working options available in line with personal preference. The post holder can fulfil this role from any location.
The post is full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, but flexible work pattern requests will also be considered for between a minimum of 28 hours to 35 hours per week.
The applicant must be interested in studying to achieve their CIPS Level 4 qualification as part of this role (or already achieved/studying).
