About the role:
As a Health Project Coordinator, your role will involve supporting people with a learning disability to deliver Annual Health Check Workshops.
Other duties include:
- Working on other health projects.
- Booking appointments and workshops.
- Keeping records.
- Working in a team.
- Planning and attending meetings.
- Working with the Peer educators within the support employment scheme.
- Promoting the service at events.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, recreation management, higher education, or related field is required from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of experience leading group fitness instruction
Demonstration of experience coordinating and leading group fitness programming
Current Group Fitness Instructor certification through AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA or NASM or a nationally accredited organization
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in recreation, exercise science, higher education, or related field is required from an accredited institution of higher education
At least three or more years of progressive experience designing and leading fitness programming
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of national trends and practices in fitness programming
Knowledge of risk management policies and procedures
Ability to teach multiple group fitness class formats
Ability to teach nationally recognized group fitness certifications
Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required
Ability to supervise and evaluate part-time staff
Ability to create and monitor annual budgets
Ability to adequately train and supervise part-time student employees
Ability to evaluate, assess, and report on program outputs and outcomes
Ability to balance multiple assignments, deadlines, and tasks
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to create environments that foster equitable participation of all groups while seeking to address and acknowledge issues of oppression, privilege and power

Job Description
· Assist the team to assign Instructors/Facilitators for the company's various programmes. On average, we have around 300+ locations (weekly classes) every month to schedule.
· Source and confirm Instructors/Facilitators for programmes based on the different themes and objectives of the clients.
· Source and build a new pool of Instructors/Facilitators actively for the programmes under your charge.
· Create and maintain strong working relationships with Instructors/Facilitators (for all related programmes).
· To brief and disseminate information to Instructors/Facilitators for various programmes.
· Evaluate and make changes to the programme based on clients' and affiliated companies' feedback and evaluation.
· Monitor the Instructors/Facilitators performances and discipline while ensuring that it adheres to the code of conduct.
· Track and maintain updated records/logs of incidents at the events.
· Verify Instructors/Facilitators logsheet at the beginning of each month for payment.
· Assist the Operations Manager or other Programme Coordinators with any other ad-hoc tasks when required.

We have an opportunity to join our team on a full-time basis as a Health & Lifestyle Coordinator. Flying out of Brisbane or Cairns you will be working 14:7 roster at Weipa Town Camp. Accommodation and meals are covered during your stay at camp.
The work will be at the Village Gym facilitating group stretching sessions, motivating employees, as well as individual health management and wellness counselling. You will develop and coordinate sporting and social events, group exercise sessions (i.e. walking groups and circuit classes), wellness and health promotion programs, and physical rehabilitation programs for injured employees. You will also be responsible for the design and delivery of injury prevention programs and initiatives.
