JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers, and follow up on delivery.
- Obtain quotations from vendors/suppliers and negotiate for the best price, the best quality, and the best service to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Source for new parts, materials, services, or suppliers when the need arises.
- Shipment arrangements & liaise closely with forwarding agencies for all customs-related issues (export and import permit applications).
- Support day-to-day Administration, the purchase of stationery, office equipment, office general items, etc.
- Filing and keeping track of documents.
- Provide administrative support to account and operation departments such as Project Costing, Data Entry of Purchase invoices, and Petty Cash.
- Arrangement of disposal wastage, recycle bin.
- Ensure purchasing activities are complying with ISO requirements and within departmental objectives.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar.
- Knowledge in Purchasing / Inventory / Material (Electronics & Mechanical) and Warehouse Management is an added advantage.
- Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
