Job Responsibilities:

·       Implementation, Operation, and maintenance of audit of HSE Management System in compliance with ISO9001 and 14001:2015 and 45001:2018.

·       Responsible for overall planning, implementation of the Environment, Occupational Safety and Health matters within workplaces.

·       Ensure the safe working practices are observed and complied with by all staff/workers at the site.

·       Ensure that all staff and subcontractors’ workers are using suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working at the worksite.

·       Carry out and prepare the daily site Safety Inspection Checklist.

·       Carry out safety programs (Safety induction/toolbox meeting, etc.) new workers/subcontractors’ workers from time to time.

·       Monitor the daily safety of general workers’ activities at site.

·       Inspect the worksite machinery and equipment which are being utilized at the site to ensure compliance with the project site safety requirements.

·       To investigate, analyze, make recommendation, and maintain reports of incidents/accidents or work hazards, to determine causes and propose preventive measures. 

·       Ensure safety signage, first aid kit, firefighting equipment and adequate supply of safety materials are available at the worksite.

·       Prepare and submit the safety workers time sheet to the Project Manager.

·       Verify that all legal requirements and inspections by authorities are met and carried out as specified in the plan.

·       Maintain, enforce, and enhance safety-related matters in accordance with DOSH Malaysia requirements.

·       Promote, establish, and implement health and safety procedures, and raise awareness among employees. Organize safety and health committee meetings.

·       Conduct risk assessments, investigate the causes of incidents and accidents, and report findings. Conduct training on all safety-related topics.

·       Lead and coordinate Emergency Response Teams (ERT) or First Aid teams during emergencies.

·       Compile, analyze, and maintain statistics on workplace accidents, occupational diseases, and incidents caused by occupational poisoning.

·       Prepare various reports, documentations, and forms related to health and safety.

·       Ensure documents are maintained and stored accordingly to regulatory requirements.

·       Perform other safety and health-related duties as assigned.

·       Assist and report to the Project Manager on issues pertaining to the site safety, health, and environmental matters.

·       To be a team player and proactive in promoting safety, health, and environmental matters at the workplace.

·       Continuously provide awareness on safety & health to project personnel through meetings, training, and other communication sessions.

·       Any other duties as assigned but not limited to the above.

 

Job Requirements:

·       Preferably a Green Book / Degree holder in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent / Diploma or NIOSH Certification related to Occupational Health and Safety.

·       At least 5 Years of working experience on high rise residential construction is required for this position.

·       Fluent verbal and written communication skills in the English, Bahasa Malaysia.

·       Good knowledge in legal requirements and good environmental, safety and health Practices

·       Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.

·       Registered OSH Office under DOSH is a pre-requisite.

·       Liaise with local authorities if needed.

·       Must be self-oriented with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

·       Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, English as these are the language used in the construction site.

·       Self-motivated, well organized, and proactive. 

·       Good problem-solving and communication skills. 

·       Ability to work under pressure and under tight schedule.

The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front desk and guest services operations, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for hotel guests.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome guests, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Staff Management, Recruit, train, and supervise front desk staff.
• Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels to ensure excellent customer service.
• Reservations and Room Assignments, Oversee room reservations, availability, and pricing strategies.
• Assign rooms and manage room inventory efficiently.
• Financial Management, Monitor and manage daily financial transactions, including billing, payment processing, and cash handling.
• Prepare and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to revenue, occupancy, and other key performance indicators.
• Quality Control and Maintenance, Ensure cleanliness and functionality of the front desk area.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Front Office Operations efficiently and with profitability, which includes overseeing Front Office, Guest Relations, Telecommunications, Business centre and Concierge
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy by effectively controlling rates and availability (on the day of arrival)
• Controls any rebates/allowances issued through the departments
• Controls manpower planning for the departments
• Help and support the Director of Rooms, and Executive Housekeeper with the FLHSSE audit
• Handle all guest complaints and comments relating to the department tactfully

WHAT’S THE JOB?

Under the general direction of the Director of Rooms, and within the limited of established IHG and local hotel policies and procedures, provides supportive functional assistance to all departments; interact with guests and members of the community. They will also coordinate with all other departments within the hotel.

This job is the Managerial Role at a full-service hotel or at a regional extended-stay hotel. Report to Director of Rooms. Typically supervises operations under Front Office, Guest Relations, Uniform Services, Instant Service, Club InterContinental Lounge and Butlers.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Assists in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget.
• Identifying, monitoring and controlling departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget and monthly forecast.
• Monitor budget and control labor costs and expenses with a focus on rate strategy, building initiatives and inventory management.
• Make sure all CSA policies are in compliance and preparing a monthly report for the DOR.
• Assists in planning for future staffing needs and recruiting in line with company guidelines.
• Prepares and administers detailed on boarding program for new staff.
• Assists in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation .
• Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelines.
• Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
• Ensure training needs analysis of Front Office staff carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to increase staff efficiency.

• Initiating and maintaining a analytical approach to evaluate glitches and implementing corrective actions to reduce re-occurrence.
• Reports directly to and communicates with the Director of Rooms on all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations.
• Maintain inter-departmental relationships to ensure seamless customer service.
• Assume overall responsibility for maintaining standards to ensure furnishings facilities and equipment are clean, in good repair and well maintained.
• Compile statistics for front office and provide reports relating to that area
• Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance and posture of departmental employees.
• Conduct comprehensive monthly departmental meetings to include a review of procedures and events which warrants special handling and detailed information.
• Communicate to the DOR/GM of his/her delegate all information likely to be of interest to them such as the expected arrival and departure of VIPs and all other pertinent information.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Diploma or equivalent in Hotel Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or similar capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Related experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, written and oral skills
• Adaptable in shifting working schedules and may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop and foster beneficial relationships
• High level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for result
