Lockheed Martin Space in Herndon, Virginia is seeking a Summer 2023 Financial Analyst intern. In this role, you will support and be responsible for the the day-to-day financial management and reporting of existing programs and help grow the business as an opportunity to engage in new business activities/strategy. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of compiling and reviewing budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration. Perform multiple financial cost analyses functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that maintain the company's cost accounting system. Ensure that costs are allocated according to established procedures. Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintain or oversee the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Basic Qualifications • Working towards a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline of Business (Prefer Finance and/or Accounting), Economics, and/or Analytics. • Ability to utilize problem-solving skills to efficiently isolate problems/errors, evaluate, and implement solutions, and exceptionally analytical • Strong PC skills and the ability to learn new financial systems quickly. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Colorado Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $20,904 - $67,288 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
