Job Description:
1. Interpretation:
- Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences, seminars, and other events.
- Ensure clear and accurate communication between participants by conveying messages faithfully, taking into account the cultural context.
2. Translation:
- Translate documents, reports, and other written materials from one language to another, maintaining the intended meaning and style.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the quality and consistency of translated content.
3. Project Coordination:
- Initiate and plan language-related projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and establish project budgets.
- Coordinate project teams, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
4. Team Management:
- Assemble and manage teams of qualified translators, interpreters, editors, and proofreaders.
- Assign roles and responsibilities to team members and facilitate effective collaboration.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of translated and interpreted content by implementing quality control processes.
- Establish a checklist for linguistic and cultural accuracy.
6. Communication Support:
- Assist in coordinating international events and projects.
- Provide language support to international visitors, trainers etc.
7. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., linguistics, languages, or translation studies).
- Proven experience as an interpreter, translator, and project coordinator.
- Exceptional fluency in multiple languages with a deep understanding of cultural contexts.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in translation and interpretation software and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to different working environments.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural setting.
