- Accountable for the coordination, management and provision of all professional development and education, which includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating education programs and activities for staff in accordance with current and evolving VHA, TJC, ANA and community standards.
- Responsible for the oversight of coordination of affiliations with schools of nursing and student placement as well as the student programs and new graduate RN's.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills in relating to health care professionals and top-level management within facility and with the Community Partners.
- Ability to establish priorities, determine program objectives, and accomplish goals in a timely manner. S/he must have the ability to collect, organize and analyze complex data to arrive at sound and logical conclusions.
- Strategic planning and professionally developing educators within the department and nurses within the organization.
