DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Service/operational management Provides operational management support for the service, working closely with the Head of Haematology, clinical director, clinical leads, and divisional management team. Ensures that inpatient and outpatient services within the service are used to best effect, achieving utilisation targets and driving improvements Provides support to patients relatives and carers in the delivery of services ensuring best practices are adhered to at all times. Supports the clinical facilities with day to day operational matters (eg bed escalation meetings, staffing concerns, ward maintenance) to ensure patient flow is maintained. Leads the service on the performance management agenda. Develops and introduces strategies and process changes to ensure recurrent achievement of activity at target levels. This includes liaison with clinicians to influence working practices to achieve the necessary changes. Interprets and analyses highly complex data in relation to performance management using Trust software to develop performance management reports. Develops own work plan in line with divisional and Trust objectives. Strategic planning, service development and improvement Responsible for the interpretation, development and implementation of broad policies and NHS guidance when required. Plays a key role in service planning and development. Develops and implements long term strategic plans for new ways of working and the continued development and improvement of services. Ensures that developments and improvements are across entire patient pathway and are in line with directorate, divisional and trust objectives. Ensures patients and relatives have a central role in the development and monitoring of service development projects for which the post holder is responsible. Uses and interprets research and audit findings to aid the development of new guidelines and protocols which support service improvements. Contributes to budget setting for the service within the directorate. Identifies opportunities for service redesign in line with QIPP strategies. Human resources management Line management responsibility for designated services within the service. Responsible for junior doctor rotas within the service including co-ordination of induction along with the clinical lead. Responsible for the effective attendance, performance and appropriate conduct of staff in areas of responsibility. Takes action under Trust personnel policies (e.g. grievance, disciplinary, capability, attendance management) where necessary. Undertakes formal investigations and presents to panels. Provides appraisal/performance review for line managed staff resulting in clearly understood objectives and personal development plans that reflect both the needs of the Trust and the longer-term goals of staff. Ensures that grievances and whistle blowing are treated appropriately and within Trust policies. Ensures effective recruitment processes are implemented within directorate compliant with Trust policy. In liaison with HR develop and implement local strategies, using appropriate and innovative approaches to maximise retention and recruitment within own areas of responsibility. Ensures that line managed staff undertake mandatory training. Audits compliance and takes remedial action. Takes responsibility for personal continuing professional development. Encourages others to complete satisfaction surveys and develops action plans to address any deficiencies identified. We are looking for a great manager for the Health Assessment and Physiotherapy teams at our bustling Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital site. The role of Integrated Clinical services Manager is to ensure a genuinely exceptional client experience throughout the two teams, covering inpatient & outpatient physiotherapy services and the health screening offerings delivered by physiologists and GPs.

You will be expected to maintain a clinical caseload, to participate in the CPD and in-service training schedule and weekend working where necessary. You will also be involved in marketing and promotion of the department within the local area.

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. Job Description:

• Extensive knowledge of Nursing acquired through significant experience in a Senior Clinical role.
• Demonstrable experience in quality, safety, and operational leadership with a clear focus on the development and sustainability of services from a quality, outcomes and experience perspective with a clear drive and passion for service change, quality improvement, delivery, and transformation.

• Serve as a quality subject matter expert and provide guidance to development personnel performing investigations, root cause analysis, and capas through knowledge of quality concepts and techniques.
• Participate on cross-functional teams as subject matter expert in GCP/GLP/GVP to provide guidance and risk-based options that promote compliance.
• Identify and communicate quality and compliance risks and participate in determination of appropriate planning to resolve and address issues and risks.
• Lead the strategy and activities in support of health authority GCP/GLP/GVP inspections.
• Review clinical study documents and check for consistency and compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate projects to successfully meet timelines.

Job Requirement:

• Registered nurse or enrolled nurse background with a passion for patient care.
• Possesses the art of service excellence.
• Experience in management of feedback and service recovery.
• Well-versed in the operations of a service industry.
• Ability to conduct on-the-job training (Service and Clinical).
• Ability to initiate and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to display mentorship skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Set up and manage the clinical laboratory with MOH license and other licenses such as College of American Pathologists (CAP), fire safety, etc.

· Carry out day-to-day laboratory operations.

· Establish, implement and maintain laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Carry out validation and monitoring of test procedures and protocols to achieve required precision and accuracy.

· Perform, record and interpret results of quality control procedures.

· Carry out and monitor corrective and preventive action implementations.

· Establish and carry out risk assessment for the laboratory.

· Set up and manage laboratory information management system (LIMS).

· Liaise with partners to carry out laboratory audits and proficiency testing.

· Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory issues.

· Manage laboratory inventory, including procurement of consumables, reagents, equipment, and fixtures.

· Liaise with vendors on the servicing, maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.

· Ensure upkeep of the laboratory premise.

· Recruit, train and manage clinical laboratory staff.

· Coordinate clinical and research projects with partners and clients.

· Plan and monitor the laboratory operations budget and P&L.

Requirements:

• Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology or related discipline.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

· Experience in setting up laboratory for MOH license or other accreditations.

· Good laboratory and strong analytical skills.

· Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

· Meticulous and well-organized.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Highly motivated and willing to learn.
