ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, test, integrate and maintain quality firmware for eHDD using best practices like unit test, CI (continuous improvement) and Agile methodologies.
• Design and implementation of data structures, software algorithms, data path, and drivers for hardware cores using latest standards C++ and Python.
• Participate in Scrum & Agile processes to bring up new hardware and develop embedded firmware for data storage products.
• Deliver cutting-edge storage products with SAS, SATA, PCIE interfaces.
• Collaborate and design solutions for the challenging yet unique problems across hardware and software platforms, including servers, RAID, and various operating systems (Windows and Linux).
• Participate in planning and coordinating significant technical investigations from problem statement to conclusion.
• Creates design documents pertinent to the various phases of firmware development.

Analytical & Characterization Department plays a critical-role in the validation and qualification of hard-disk drives. As a Software Engineer in the department, your role is to ensure that the test can be executed properly from software perspective. This includes develop and debug various test scripts. Also, you will be the developer for a web-based test management system which is focused on automation, innovation and efficiency to build the next generation of automated testing.

 Responsibilities:

• Develop and debug (Java, Ruby) test scripts to exercise workloads on hard-disk drives.
• Work across the full stack, developing new features for our medium-scale test management system (React, Next, MongoDB, NGINX).
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-documented code.
• Deploy or release software with release notes and documentation.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
• Implement technical solutions based on industry best practices and trends.

• Design and develop software for backend tester and automation system.
• Work with US/Japan/Thailand team to support new backend system project.
• Perform failure analysis on issue reported from factory team
• Support integration testing and regression test
• Documentation on user manual for software deployment
