You will be part of the Marketing and Communications team, and be responsible for planning and managing the Marketing and Communications initiatives for Thomson Medical Group, Thomson Medical Pte Ltd and its associated subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
· Uphold the corporate profile and branding of the organisation by building relations with key stakeholders, communications and/or media agencies to positively position the organisation.
· Ensuring that the organisation's corporate identity elements are appropriately used within and outside of the organisation as well as seeking ways to enhance and strengthen the organisation's brand.
· Lead overall media relations and management efforts for the organisation such as (but not limited to), planning and running media briefings, media interviews and media events to ensure favourable media coverage.
· Manage Media relations and communications agency to provide strategic counsel on, such as (but not limited to):
§ Messaging, positioning and narrative development for key initiatives.
§ Communications plan development to support ongoing TMG initiatives and announcements (external / internal communications).
§ Media content development (to support communications initiatives)
§ opportunities and potential issues.
§ Media monitoring.
· Identify and manage crisis communications during crisis situations and work with stakeholders and media to mitigate impact to corporate reputation.
· Manage Internal Communications, including (but not limited to):
§ Draft internal circulars to staff, doctors.
§ Draft C-suite communications (letters to staff, etc).
· Oversee and manage marketing communications and campaign activities for the organisation and assigned tasks to reach audiences and stakeholders effectively.
· Support Group investor relations and corporate communications activities such as corporate presentations, factsheets, press releases, web material and quarterly/yearly financial and sustainability reports, that communicate the company’s positioning and strategies effectively to investors.
· Supervise, develop, and manage assigned Marketing Communications team to support the marketing communications across the organisation..
· Manage a public facing feedback channel(s) responding to customer feedback in a timely fashion to uphold Thomson’s reputation.
· Any other initiatives, new business or tasks as assigned by the HOD.
Requirements
· Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Business (Marketing) or any related discipline.
· Grade A in English Language (GP or A-Levels) as strong writing skill is essential for the role.
· Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience in corporate communications, public relations or marketing.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in managing or leading a team and/or agencies .
· Experience in the healthcare sector, is desired, but not necessary.
· Excellent command of the English language with strong writing, speaking and presentation skills.
· Strategic thinker with strong critical thinking and project management skills.
· Energetic, driven, adaptable, has good initiative and is able to multi-task and cope well when working under pressure and against tight timelines.
· Meticulous with details and able to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
· Experienced in media relations with strong media contacts.
· Committed team player and leader with good leadership skills.
· Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with different levels of staff within and across institutions.
· C-suite presentation skills.
· Able to multitask and adapt quickly to changes.
