Responsibilities:
1. Draft and / or review legal documents / contracts related to the businesses of the Company, including agreements, correspondences and any other documents in relation to conveyancing, litigation, corporate and commercial transactions;
2. Conduct legal research and to keep abreast of new laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its businesses and advise the management on any potential legal issues / risks arising there from;
3. Review, recommend and/or develop policies, procedures or guidelines for the Company and/or its respective business unit s to ensure compliance with the new laws and regulations;
4. Liaise with external legal counsels/ consultants;
5. Act as the custodian of all legal documents and ensure proper filing of these legal documents;
6. Provide prompt updates and reports as may be requested by the HOD / management;
7. Ad-hoc assignments as may be assigned by the HOD/ management.
Specific Skills and Attributes:
1. Minimum 3 years of working experience in a legal firm and / or as in-house counsel for the post of assistant manager OR minimum 3 years of working experience for the post of senior executive.
2. Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills with high level of integrity and confidentiality.
3. Analytical, meticulous and able to meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
4. Excellent command of verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
5. Able to work independently and as a team player.

Job Description
-Draft, review, negotiate a range of contracts for company’s business.
Legal advisory on compliance matters such as Competition Law, Data Protection, Labor, Consumer Protection, Intellectual Property, Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics.
-Manage compliance issues, conduct compliance training and other compliance related matters.
-Manage disputes like litigation, arbitration, mediation etc and coordinate with external counsels.
-Identify and analyze legal trends and new legislations which are related to the company's business.
-Support the General Counsel on all other Legal & Compliance related matters.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Law and admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Worked in law firm and/or as in-house counsel.
Excellent communications skills and proficient in English (written and oral).
Independent at work and is highly motivated.
Excellent interpersonal skills and is resourceful.
Possess commercial acumen.
Working knowledge of litigation (both civil and criminal). Although Counsel will not be expected to attend court (as Advocate), he/she should have good knowledge to advise company and instruct/manage external lawyers.
Experience in handling legal compliance risk issues.

✍ Responsible to establish and maintain As-Is and To-be Security process and work instruction for business workstream and technologies.
