Primary function:
The Sales and Marketing Executive is responsible for promoting the company’s machining products and services, developing new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role involves coordinating with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the fastener/solar/machining /manufacturing sector.
- Approach potential customers and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Handle customer inquiries and prepare quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and close sales orders.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding orders, delivery schedules, and product requirements.
- Provide after-sales support and handle customer feedback or complaints.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Marketing Activities
- Conduct market research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Promote company products and services through presentations, visits, exhibitions, and online platforms.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
4. Coordination with Internal Departments
- Liaise with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Follow up on order status, delivery schedules, and production planning.
- Ensure proper documentation for orders and customer requirements.
5. Reporting
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management.
- Maintain updated records of customer information, quotations, and sales activities in the system.
Subordinate directly report to Limit of authority:
- Any special pricing, discounts, or price deviations must obtain approval from the Sales Manager / Management.
- Communicate and liaise with customers regarding product inquiries, specifications, and quotations.
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product promotion activities.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, planning, and quality departments regarding customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Propose and implement sales strategies, marketing plans, and customer negotiations subject to approval from the Sales Manager / Management.
- Must report major quality or delivery issues to the Sales Manager or relevant department for resolution.
Qualification requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Working experience requirement:
- Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in fastener/solar/manufacturing/ machining industries.
- Knowledge of machining processes, engineering drawings, and technical specifications is an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel for customer visits.
