We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Assistant Manager, Marketing & Business Development to support the company’s property development, commercial leasing and business growth initiatives.
This role will be involved in project marketing, branding, campaign execution, business development support, tenant / prospect engagement, market research, proposal preparation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in property development, commercial property, leasing, real estate marketing, business development, retail, event venue or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute marketing activities for company projects, commercial spaces, sales gallery activities, launches, roadshows, exhibitions and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate digital and offline marketing materials, including social media content, website updates, advertisements, brochures, signage, EDMs, presentation decks and other collaterals.
- Work with internal teams, designers, agencies, vendors and media partners to ensure marketing materials are accurate, timely and aligned with company branding.
- Identify potential business opportunities, tenants, brands, agents, strategic partners, collaborators and commercial prospects.
- Conduct initial engagement with prospects, tenants, agents or business partners to introduce company projects and explore potential collaboration.
- Prepare business proposals, presentation decks, company profiles, project information packs and supporting documents.
- Maintain business development pipeline records, prospect databases, follow-up status and meeting records.
- Support tenant sourcing, leasing-related marketing and commercial space promotion activities.
- Arrange site visits, project briefings, tenant presentations and follow-up meetings.
- Conduct market research on property market trends, commercial leasing trends, competitor developments, pricing, tenant mix and customer behaviour.
- Coordinate marketing events, project launches, roadshows, exhibitions, open houses, tenant engagement sessions and corporate activities.
- Liaise with vendors, agencies, consultants, agents, partners and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and control of marketing approvals, quotations, proposals, vendor records and business development files.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Real Estate, Property Management, Business Development or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience in marketing, business development, leasing, property development, commercial property, real estate, retail, event venue or related industry.
- Experience in property development, commercial leasing, tenant engagement, project marketing or real estate business development will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of marketing, branding, digital marketing, business development and commercial leasing support.
- Strong commercial awareness with ability to understand property market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activities.
- Good communication, presentation, proposal writing and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to prepare marketing materials, business proposals, presentation decks, reports and management updates.
- Good planning, coordination, follow-up and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin will be an added advantage where business needs require communication with relevant customers, tenants, agents or business partners.
- Mature, proactive, business-minded and able to work with minimum supervision.
