Tasks & responsibilities:

• Candidate must be able to provide solution for QAQC matter and drive the result.
• Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of construction works in accordance with the contracts and construction drawings especially in respect of specifications, quality and time of completion.
• Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction and interfacing of the multidisciplinary processes
• Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
• Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.
• To ensure that all materials delivered to site are conform to the approved specifications and the project's inspection test plan.
• To regularly report to relevant superiors on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in respect defective, outstanding or non-confirming works or delayed works.
• Upon completion of work, to carry out final inspections and handovers including ensuring that all as built drawings are prepared and a copy kept with relevant superiors prior to issuance of certificate of practical completion.
• To control all relevant project documents and data, prepare reports on progress, site activities and all other related matters.
• All other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior / management.

 Qualifications & experience:

• At least 3 years working experience in the related field required for this position.
• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
• Candidate fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.
• Working experience in industrial projects is an advantage. 
• Candidate must be able to work in Penang on 6 working day basis weekly.

The PQE is responsible for ensuring quality and reliability performance of our products, wherever they are designed, manufactured, and assembled, by performing best in class Product Qualification in accordance with international standards and customer requirements. The PQE is also responsible for Reliability Monitoring through ORT.

The PQE works cross-functionally with Design, Test, Manufacturing, Reliability Labs, FA Labs, and Customer/Supplier Quality to prevent defects, drive robust product quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, perform, and review Qualification (new products, second source, material changes, design changes, process changes
• Define, evaluate, and implement suitable stress tests for related product applications.
• Ensure product compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IEC, JEDEC, etc.).
• Communicate qualification plans and data with customer (Silicon, Package and Board Level).
• Participate in risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA) and ensure mitigation actions are implemented and validated.
• Review qualification test results, assess risks, and provide quality approval for production release or change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor cleanroom environmental surveys, to verify compliance and support area buy-off.                             
• Develop and execute contamination sampling plans for cleanroom environmental, equipment, tools, and process samples to ensure cleanliness and prevent yield-impacting defects.                            
• Perform routine and event-based environmental and equipment sampling to support operational readiness and cleanroom classification.                                
• Manage handling and qualification of cleanroom indirect materials by setting cleanliness criteria, performing inspections, and approving materials for use.                                   
• Define cleanroom protocols, including gowning, behavior, and contamination prevention practices, and provide training to ensure compliance.                                   
• Define and coordinate with laboratories implement test plans, analyse cleanliness data, investigation deviations, and recommending mitigation actions for product & process cleanliness compliance.    
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, facilities, quality, and engineering to support contamination control strategies and maintain acceptable cleanliness levels.

Job Summary

Lead and oversee quality assurance activities, including non-conformance management, part containment, and disposition of discrepant materials through the Material Review Board (MRB) and eNCS system. Drive engineering change reviews, 8D investigations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality incidents and excursions. Champion continuous improvement by following through on corrective actions, participating in risk assessments (HIRADC, FMEA, FMEA, EIA, ROA), and supporting improvement initiatives. Accountable for departmental KPI performance, providing technical guidance and coaching to the team to achieve quality objectives. Responsible for quality planning, resource allocation, functional risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in Non-conformance issue part containment and disposition discussion, and execution during quality incident.
• Responsible for review and approval of discrepant lot disposition in eNCS. Hold authority to reject in the system if it does not meet release requirements.
• Lead Material Review Board (MRB) for Part Containment and Disposition.
• Responsible for Engineering Change Review, 8D Review, and coordination, interface with downstream as required, e.g., excursion-related, packaging feedback.
• Responsible for following up and following through on committed actions/evaluation lots for improvements.
• Participate in related risk assessment activities and improvement activities with relevant parties as applicable, e.g., HIRADC, EIA, ROA, FMEA, CI.
• Accountable for the assigned departmental KPI results and share with relevant parties.
• Provide technical guidance and coach the team towards the accomplishment of the KPI / objective.
• Responsible for planning the resources for the quality plan.
• Assist in ensuring the functional business risk (in the area of assigned responsibility) is adequately identified and mitigated at the best possible level.
• Responsible for the health and safety of the individual at the workplace.
• Support any other projects/tasks assigned by the supervisor.
