Good tech role with room for improvement

Working as a Software Engineer at BLUGIALLO in Oslo was a solid experience. The company offers interesting projects in the tech industry and a generally positive environment for development. While not perfect, there's a good foundation for growth and learning.

Pros

I really appreciated the focus on cutting-edge technology and the collaborative spirit among my colleagues. There were many opportunities to work on challenging projects and learn new skills, especially within the FinTech sector. The hybrid work model also offered great flexibility.

Cons

Management communication could be more consistent, and sometimes the project priorities felt a bit unclear, leading to occasional scope creep. Salary and benefits, while decent, don't always feel competitive with other major tech hubs.

Advice to Management

Continue investing in employee development and ensure clearer communication channels for project roadmaps. Recognizing top performers more explicitly would also be beneficial.

Good learning environment, needs stronger leadership vision
Pros: I've really enjoyed the collaborative atmosphere here at BLUGIALLO. The team is supportive, and there are genuine opportunities to learn new skills in the fast-paced textile marketing sector. Project variety keeps things interesting, and management is generally approachable for day-to-day tasks. It feels like a place where you can grow professionally.
Cons: While the team is great, I sometimes feel a lack of clear, long-term strategic direction from upper leadership. This can make it challenging to prioritize initiatives effectively. Improving communication around company-wide goals and vision would be beneficial for everyone's alignment and motivation.
Advice to Management: Focus on communicating a more cohesive and transparent long-term strategy. Regularly solicit feedback on how initiatives align with broader company objectives. This will help empower teams and drive consistent progress within the textile industry.
